Hi, everyone! I'd just like to share a valuable piece of information with everyone, and if you've already heard of it, I apologize.
Anyway, I've heard of issues involving people who don't have laptops or other kinds of portable writing devices, and I thought this would help. My most recent "discovery" is called My Writing Nook. It requires a Google account, which is free of charge, and it's the most amazing thing I've ever experienced as a writer. Basically, you can store your writing online through your Google account, and access it from any computer. In fact, the site says it's perfect for NaNoWriMo. And it gets better: there's also a built-in word counter, an save and autosave feature, the ability to create separate documents/chapters, a dictionary and thesaurus, and all kinds of other great stuff like that. You can even download your documents to your computer.
It gets better yet if you're an iPhone user. There is an iPhone app for a mere $1.99 that will allow you to sync what you've written on My Writing Nook straight to your phone, and you can write there, too! I think the price of the app is a steal, and you can get a lot of use out of it.
I'm sorry if this is considered spam, and I know that "I'm a stupid teenager" isn't a valid excuse. I just wanted to share this with the world of NaNoWriMo, specifically the writers of my beloved Saint Louis.
Oh yeah, and the link: http://www.mywritingnook.com/

Thanks! I don't consider it spam - it sounds really useful, and is news to me!

p.s. in no way does being a teenager automatically make anyone stupid.

Addability, just wanted to let you know there is absolutely nothing wrong with posting news like that. As it happens, I have no need of that particular service and have been storing my novels for 4 years now at www.driveway.com . That however does not change the fact that I have never heard of this very interesting little piece of technology and as a technophile I am thrilled! Thanks for sharing!

MyWritingNook is awesome! My work has our computers super shut down. So yeah, I shouldn't be writing when I'm at work, blah blah blah, but I do. So. I can't type something up then copy it to a USB drive because they have them locked down. I can't type something and e-mail it to myself because I can't access personal e-mail. But, the apparently don't know about this, and don't have it blocked, so I am able to write stuff there, which is pretty awesome, because my job is very boring and I have lots of time to kill, and while surfing the NaNo forums is great fun, I like to be productive on my novel sometimes too. So yes, this is fabulous!

Thanks, everyone! I'm really relieved, and always glad to help.
I can totally relate to you, jsights, because everything, and I mean everything, is blocked at my school. They even block YouTube, which can be used for educational purposes, but they say they have to "protect the Oak Hill kids". Irritating, isn't it?
Anyway, to be quite honest, I don't judge anyone for writing at work. Work sounds even more boring than school.
And laureninstlouis, I know a lot of people that would think that teenagers are stupid by default, so thank you.

Very true, although older people have the advantage of more life experience. And of course, a fully-developed pre-frontal cortex.

Trying this now. Seems pretty cool so far. I like having dictionary / thesaurus right there handy, as well as constant word-count update.
