I'm a big fan of cookies, but the yummy soft ones leave behind a little film that doesn't feel so good on the keyboard. What's your favourite Nano-friendly snackfood?

It depends where I am really. I can always rock the cookies, cookies always help. Or I can do little Ghirardelli chocolate are great too. Though those are my true guilty pleasure. Thought sometimes my body wants something sweet at like two or three in the morning and I try, I try. I said try twice. To eat kind of healthy; an apple, orange, banana! ^_^

Crisps and dip. But then there's the problem of crumbs...

Cheez-it's. Hands down.

Disgustingly behind. Still f-ing determined. I WILL get that Createspace offer. I swear by the awesomeness that is NaNoWriMo itself. May my fingers fall off if I do not win.

Perhaps I should take a cue from others and use fruit as a reward. Things like cherries, grapes, and mandarin oranges are definitely small enough to put in a bowl next to
the keyboard.

Grapes, hands down. They're easy to eat while writing, and you don't have to worry about getting crumbles on your computer!

Im hoping its going to be fruit fruit and more fruit, the odd choclate thrown in and a few homemade cakes and shortbread. But fruit will HAVE to be the winner! I've got to make it a healthy nano lol!
I can see myself eating those words though and ordering a Dominoes at some ungodly hour!

Lots of post Halloween candy and popcorn. I pretty much live off that stuff for the month of November. I'm pretty good typing with one hand and keeping butter off my keyboard. Oh yeah, apples are good for grabbing and typing too...

Crackers, cheery tomatoes and carrots for regular munching while typing. And maybe popcorn if it's there. For those times when things get difficult writing, then I have a few packages of hot chocolate.

And the rewards, of course. Halloween candy.

When I'm at home, it's dry cereal. I use a spoon and bowl, so no stuff on my keyboard. Sometimes I mix raisins in with the dry cereal, or some yogurt. I actually love Cheez-its more but I stopped buying them because I had this bad habit of eating the entire box in one day...

When I'm not at home, it's usually some sort of granola bar or pop tarts.

I can live quite happily on ice cream, cookies, cereal, and PBJ sanwiches. Not necessarily all at the same time ;)

Oreos. Hands down. :-] I've developed an addiction ever since I graduated from college, mainly because I wouldn't allow them in my apartment knowing full well that I'd eat them all. Plus, I was on a D-1 rowing team and had to try and manage a competitive weight to stay in the better boats.

Thank the stars I don't have to worry about that anymore! Hahaha om nom nom nom <3

Anthough quite messy I was actually looking back at my pictuers from past years and Nachos always showed up as my favorite nanowrimo snack. Regular white corn chips with cheese sauce and beans optional. The cheese keeps me warm during the cold month and its so yummy. ALSO the Big Gulp drinks at 44 cents at the gas station since after school I'm heading home and its easy to pick one up! MMM!

Nuts! Lots and lots of nuts! And all kind of nuts as well. I have a big jar of them on my desk. Now there's a mixture of biological nuts in them, but sometimes I buy the not-that-healthy salted peanuts kind.

And tangerines of course. What's a NaNoWriMo without tangerines? They are small, easy to peel, easy to eat and overall yummie!

I'd have to say fruit. Apples, bananas, and nectarines are high on my list. I love kiwis, too, but they make a horrible mess and I eat them with a spoon, so they're not really snack food. Cherries and raspberries are great, too, but they tend to be kinda expensive especially during winter. :(

I also have some Raffaello. For anyone who doesn't know what they are, they're small ball-shaped wafers with coconut paste and almond in them and coconut flakes on the outside. Yummy. But they're really hard to get here.

Drink-wise - coffee and hot chocolate, definitely. And sometimes a fruit smoothie. I ate so much crap during my teens that I'm not even tempted by crisps and chocolate anymore, so I'm keeping it healthy this year. :D

Chocolate is a must for me.
Veggies and dip, as long as I'm careful with the keyboard and the dip. lol!
Chips
Crackers and cheese
Lots of coffee... my triple and quadruple espressos are snacks and meals in themselves. O_O

They are expensive and probably extremely bad for you, but when I need to write or study for long periods of time I always have a large bag of chocolate covered coffee beans. They are incredibly good, and very energizing. Caffiene usually doesn't effect me too much, but these can wake anyone up from a morning or late-night haze.

When my usual sweet tooth isn't kicking, I sometimes go for cheese cubes or apple slices, in a vain attempt to make myself stay healthy to some extent.

Homemade popcorn, cooked in homemade jalapeno oil, with that cheap crappy All Dressed Popcorn Seasoning on it. I don't know why, but I'm addicted. Maybe there's heroin in the seasoning.

This is a little bit weird, but my favorite snack ever is plain Cheerios. Not the honey nut ones, just straight up plain Cheerios. They're just oddly satisfying for some reason, and it makes me feel a little bit better to not be snacking on junk the whole time. Plus, no keyboard mess! (Although it does get a bit dusty.)

A plain bagel with some cream cheese or Rosemary Triscuits. Those are very, very yummy.

Gummybears, EL Fudge cookies, Cheez-its.... Cheetos are a big fave of mine too, but again with the crumbs and the cheesyness getting all over the keyboard and smearing on the paper... considering I write longhand and then type it up afterwards, haha. But yeah, those are probably my top ones.

When I was living with my parents, my mum brought some from work one day, and I immediately hid that package in my room. I'm glad I did, as they were amazing.

As for my noveling fuel, I like hot chocolate, regular chocolate, crackers, hummus, fruit, trail mix, and even regular meals. Hey, I have to eat sometime!

I'll have to stock up on granola bars. I ate insane amounts of a certain kind last November, and they're still the best and easy-to-eat snack I've found, apart from apples. I can't live without apples.
For inspiration, I'll probably have the occasional bowl of sweet chestnuts. Cookies, maybe, if I can find any I like (I think I ate too many cookies while I was at boarding school, where the food was disgusting and I was constantly hungry), and grapes, if I can find good ones.

Gushers. I know it seems childish, but man, those suckers are good. I also go for peanut butter M&Ms. My snackfoods aren't that healthy, but if it gets the creative juices going, I'm not about to argue.

You people fascinate me. I can't eat at all while writing--I find it too distracting.

Sometimes, if I've done the thing where I've been writing so long I've forgotten to eat, I'll get up and pace furiously back and forth while eating a granola bar. Does that count? :/

When I did Nano last time, 7 years ago, it was all about Black Cherry Kool-Aid & Garlic Bread. I would just go nuts on that combo. But since then I've gone like completely health food organic so I'm not sure what my snack food is going to be this time! But I'm in love with these onion crackers that I eat with slices of cheddar cheese. I think this is definitely a contender.

A handful of almonds or pistachios. I also like to munch on candy- wild cherry Lifesavers and jelly beans (Jelly Belly SUperfruit Mix is a new favorite). I may get those sour candies called Warheads just to wake me up for those late night writing sessions. Also apples and carrot sticks.
