I'm here too! I am also hanging out with the Kootenay contingent, having lived over there for a while. My daughter is writing too. I will try to get her on here. This will be my second year, having succeeded at my first attempt last year. I think this year's novel will be easier, not being written in the first person this time...
I'm heading out with the kids (right now) to trick or treat, then I will get ready to write!

Hello. I'm late this year, but Idecided to give NaNoWriMo another shot this year. I'm in Penticton. Good luck to ALL NaNoWriMo participants in the South Okangan!
Don't get too jealous of the word count. It's very early in the game, and I've been known to freeze, write myself into a corner, or worse. It's my first kick at this can, so I'm trying for a strong start out of the gate - so to speak.
Anyone interested in connecting in Penticton or area for some writing time? I've never written with anyone else in the room with me before, other than my husband, who does his best to ignore me. Maybe a Sunday afternoon for a couple of hours and a latte or two...?
I'm very much up for a sunday write in, need the motivation, methinks. My novel, the light of my life, up until Nov. 2, seems to have lost some steam, so yeah, this sunday would be great.
I found the Fininoccis, on main, (i know I miss spelled it, i'm nothing without word check), has plug outlets, for those of us who have crummy batt's in our laptops. That, and they make a mean chi. Ooooh, and the lemon bars are good too. :D
Hooray! I'm in Penticton, too, and I really wish I had started earlier. Do we have a support group up and running yet or what? And way to link to my brother's site (Protagonize)!
Anyone else in the area interested in getting together for a write-in this Sunday? I'm new to this whole NaNoWriMo thing, but I can picture it - faces bent over keyboards, ticking sounds as we type away, groans as we realize our plot just took a strange new turn we hadn't planned on...
Penticton sounds fairly central...and I'm a sucker for a good chai latte. Besides, it would be nice to meet the other unusual people in the south OK who have decided to do this crazy writing 50,000 words in 30 days thing.

I think I've seen a few Pentictoners around... not sure which forum (if any) they're lurking in.

Enough procrastination. Back to the word monster.
Happy writing everyone!
