Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone in the NSW South Coast area would be interested in a kickoff party in Wollongong? As someone fairly new to the area and also as one that hates crowds and hardly goes out at night, I have no idea of where to have such a party. Any ideas? |

Yeah, I'd be up for it. :) Maybe we could go tenpin bowling - Northern Bowl in Corrimal has unlimited bowling on Thursdays from 5pm till they close (at 9pm), for $20 a person. Just a thought, of course, and I'm sure others will have their own ideas about where we could get together. :) The last meetup we had was in 2007, at the Five Islands Brewery, but only three of us showed up - hopefully this one will be more fun. :)

I'd like to chip in a suggestion too. Oak Flats rollerskating! There is a disco skate 7pm-9:30pm.
So far suggestions are bowling and rollerskating. What say you, and I know there is more out there than just me and Aeryn!

Rollerskating sounds like a lot of fun. :) I haven't been indoor skating since Dapto Interskate closed down in the late 1990s (I think that's when it was anyway - it's been a while, I know that much). Could be interesting to see how I manage it after all this time. :)

Oh man I love skating. Back in the days when Skate Plus was thriving in Caringbah (in Sydney), I was both a speed skater and artistic skater. Couldn't do most of the jumps and spins now, but back when I was about 12, I was really good at it. Those were the days. Though, I used to hate it when I got hurt while practising difficult moves. That's what made me give it up in the end.
So anyway... you up for it Aeryn?

Yeah, it was fun. :) We did both hurt ourselves, but overall it was a good couple of hours. Got a pic right at the end of it all and posted it on Twitpic when I got home. Plus I got a scene idea out of it. :D
And yes, we totally need to meet up for a write-in. Preferably somewhere that doesn't mind people talking at any volume above a stage whisper (which means that the library's right out). :)
