Hi! My name is Rachel. I'm looking for some Wrimos from the Denton area who might be interested 1) being NaNoWriMo buddies and 2) in engaging in some write-ins (aside from the official meeting on the UNT campus). I was thinking about going to that lovely little Starbucks off of 35! And of course, we could switch things up and leap around from coffee house to coffee house, trying out all the different brews and atmospheres :)

Anyone up for it? :D

Fancy here. I'd love to hang out and do the writing buddy thing. I Love Coffee. Las year, I got about 5,500 words done. I really need someone to encourage me this year. I have an 8 year old daughter who spends weekends at her dad's house, so weekends are best times for me to do a write in. If any of that sounds good, let me know.

Hi! I'm Lauren, and I'd love to be writing buddies and go to write-ins! I'm always looking for more local NaNo get-togethers. Just let me know when! I think the Starbucks off of 35 would be marvelous for a meeting place. :D

Oh, and hi, Fancy!

Have a great day, everyone!

I'd be up for that, I think. Most evenings and weekends are good for me, as long as I know in advance. And that Starbucks would be fine.

I would be interested in that as well! I just moved here and live in Little Elm, but I think that's pretty close. Evenings and weekends work great for me!

I'm interested in being NaNo buddies, and I'll be doing occasional write-ins, but my laptop is on strike, so it'll really only be at computer labs and stuff.

Do it! Totally.

I'd love to have more NaNo Buddies. Currently my only buddy is a friend of mine from school in england. She's wonderful, but very difficult to attend write-ins with.

Sounds pretty good.
I've no car and I live on campus so I'd have no way of getting
to these places, but it sounds fun anyways. This is my first
NaNo and finishing it would be pretty amazing. My best friend
lives in Michigan so we most definitely cannot sit together and
write this month, so I need to make friends here since I just transfered
to this school. NaNo seems like a really good opportunity for me
to make friends since I don't really know anyone around here.

Add me.

Stellar, which campus do you live on? The UNT Denton campus will have NaNoWriMo events to go to. Oh, and events during the day on the square? I'd walk with you, if I can make them. :)

Yes, UNT Denton campus. I know about tomorrow's event at the Cyber Cafe and I was going to be able to go, but now I'm not sure if I can make it. It would have been really cool to meet some other people in Denton who are going to go through what I'm going to go through this month. I only know about that one event (and tonight's write-in, which I definitely cannot make) but where can I find out about any other events going on in Denton?

If you're interested in write-ins on the UNT campus, then I would suggest signing up for updates/events that take place on/near campus: http://www.meetup.com/UNT-NaNo/

And if there are other events you want on the Meetup Calendar let me know or post them on the message board there too! These are just the ones that I've arranged with the Cyber Cafe - we want to get the word out as much as possible.

SherMon! I'm in Little Elm - How do you feel about weekend morning write-ins in that area?

I work at the mall, so jogging across to the starbucks is definitely doable for me. Let's get this cotton-pickin' party started.

Hi, I'm Sarah!

This is my first NaNoWriMo, so the prospect of 50,000 thousand words is a bit daunting. I live on the UNT campus. I would love to do write-ins and meet other people writing. I have no car though; thus, I am limited to places I can walk to. :(

Also, is anyone living in Bruce Hall? If so, we could have some write-ins at Insomniacs.

Happy writing everyone. :D

Hi, I'm Beka.
I know I am interested and know of a couple other WriMos that would be interested as well. When should we do this? It sounds great.

I don't live in Bruce Hall, but I used to be a lobby rat. :D In fact, this year's NaNo is inspired in large part by the insanity my friends and I encountered/created there. Is it still as mad as ever?

Good luck on your first NaNo!

Hi Sarah!

I'm Erin, and this is also my first NaNoWriMo. I live in Clark Hall, but my best friend lives in Bruce so I'm there all the time. I have a car, but I'm a terrible driver beyond suburbia driving, so places beyond the Denton Square are dangerous to the lives of the people on the highway, haha. I'd be interested in Insomniac write-ins beyond the Sunday write-ins they do at the library. (The Cyber Cafe always seems to be super duper crowded. :-/ )

Happy Writing! :D

Hey Stellar!

I live on campus too and besides the regularly scheduled Sunday meetings, I think it'd be cool to have other write-ins during the week. Hit me up! :-D (I'm also super friendly, haha)
