Chubu Region NaNoWriMos unite! We're where it's at, right in the middle ;).

Chubu consists of Aichi, Fukui, Gifu, Ishikawa, Nagano, Niigata, Shizuoka, Toyama, and Yamanashi.

I know there's a Nagoya thread already, but I thought expanding it to the general Chubu region would be nice, given we'd probably meet in Nagoya (though Shiz is awesome ;) haha).

This is my first NaNo, but I'm getting rather excited about it. Tokyo isn't that far, but it is expensive to get there, and Osaka is even farther... so for us locals in Chubu, maybe this would be a good place to muse, plan, and otherwise enjoy ourselves. Okay, I have no idea what I am doing, but I know I'm not the only Shiz WriMo here, and there's bound to be more Chubu folk floating about, lurking in the corners.

So yeah... woohoo!

Osaka...further? Granted I'm not living in Japan at the moment, taking a year out, but when I lived in Gifu-shi, Osaka was by far closer. I mean it took me 8 hours by normal trains to get to Tokyo whereas Osaka was a 2hr 30min trip. I wouldn't have thought many prefectures in Chubu would be much different, but there you go.

I wish all the Chubu-wrimos luck though, you have to show up the Kanto snobs! :P

Shizuoka is on the other side of Aichi from Gifu, so relatively next door to Tokyo. I'm in Aichi, so Osaka is closer to me.

Where in Shiz? I'll have to check for the juhachi-kippu period.

Mmm it depends where in Chubu I suppose, but yeah it's an hour shink to Tokyo for me or 2 and a half to Osaka... alternatively its nearly 5 hours on the local to Osaka and only 3 for Tokyo.

I'm in Yaizu in Shiz... so 15minutes from Shiz City, 25 from Kakegawa, 1 hour from Hamamatsu.
