Are there any other writers from the Hunter area? I know there's been a few of us floating around the last few years :) I'm just outside Newcastle, myself.

Anyone interested in getting together for a "write-in" sometime over november? I posted the following in the NEwcastle intro thread on the "Sydney" region forums;
With a couple of kids I don't get out to too many coffee shops these days so I don't know which would be amenable to an invasion of writers (or would have enough powerpoints for laptops). Libraries might be an option, though I don't know where we would get coffee! I know the Wallsend library is very new, has little conference rooms and is open late weeknights (well, late for a public library - 8pm).
Who is keen?

Me too. How should we communicate the plans for meet ups etc?
Should we just post here or over on the "Newcastle" thread on the Sydney regional page, or should we all "buddy" each other?
Nice to meet you all
Jim

I haven't been over to the Sydney one yet so I don't know how many of us have congregated there. If NaNo doesn't want to give us a region then Elsewhere seems like the place to be though.
I don't think it really matters, all I know is its 1am one day into NaNo and I've only had one cup of coffee. Brain not quite coping.
Hope everyone's writing is going much better than mine ;)
Josiah

I have suggested a time and place for a Newcastle write-in. Find the details here:

Hey all, Newy here also!
First time NaNo-er as well. I'm a bit behind but it's an even chance I'll complete this thing.
Well, okay, it's not haha I expect life will railroad me out of the event as usual, but I'm having a red-hot go at it.

There is a write-in at the Wallsend Library this Monday (23rd) from 5.30pm. We will be in a little glass booth with laptops. I can't get there before 6pm this time, but I am sure others will be there.
Cheers,

Hi Nathan,
When you say 'others', how many people normally get there?
