So...I'm nervous because I'm writing about a fallen angel. He's sort of a "bad guy but not a bad guy". He gives people choices and from those choices people meet their own ends. But I'm nervous, because this guy exists.

I'm...not going to get in trouble with God for this, am I?

I know that's a silly question, but...I'm serious.

What sort of trouble would you expect to get? There's nothing in the Bible about not writing about angels. Relax. Write your story.

I don't think you've got anything to worry about. It's fiction, and if God gave you the gift, then use it. The only time that I would say it would become an issue is if you become so obsessed with this 'fallen angel' that you put him above God. But since it already sounds like you've got a good head on your shoulders about it, I think you're safe ;)

You have zero to worry about.

God created creativity :) He has no problem with it.

Don't worry sierra! I'm writing about angels as well. God gave us creativity or else we wouldn't have the modern age that we do. Honestly, I'm usually more worried about what people think. XD

Actually in both the new and old Testements agels are seen as terrifing, and not little babies with wings as in Renesance art.

The first thing Agels often said is "Do not be afraid..." so ther were either terrifing or ugly,

I personally picture angels as Arnold Swarzenegger with a flaming sword.

My experiences reading The Bible will never be the same!

Re: the original post,
I don't see why that would be a problem. I don't know exactly what your religious beliefs are, but if you pray, how about just asking? If you still feel very unsettled and worried then don't feel bad about trying another story. You don't need to stress yourself out over it. And on the other hand if you feel at peace then go for it and have fun!

As long as you stay away from depicting God, there shouldn't be a problem, as far as I know.

I've written about an angel that is fictitious, but in it were Lucifer and Michael and Gabriel a very little bit. It also went in and out of bible stories. Quite the opposite happened with me. I researched and studied the bible as much as I could and found that I learned a lot and really enjoyed spending that time with God and his Word. So maybe it will work the same with you. : ) Good luck.

So true. Just look up "six-winged seraphim" and go from there...! Creepy.

Don't forget the cherubim! The poor cherubim kind of get a bad rap starting during the Renaissance *has plans to change that >.>*

I know you might not believe me but I have personally seen both angels and demons.
Technically a 'fallen angel' is not an angel at all.
To my mind a 'fallen angel' is like the a 'double-agent'. Which is really a bad guy to me(just my opinion)

I have to tell you that angels *are* terrifing!! The ones I saw were about eight feet tall, looked like half-man and half animal made out of pure light. Seriously, they made me blind for a little bit!!

They didn't say anything in words either, their message was in my mind like dream.

I think most angels speak through telepathy and have the power to kill you instantly, but usually don't.

The demons I saw were like sparkly shadows or just shadows in 3D that you could barely notice if you weren't looking.
They often talk in strange static-y sounds(like feedback from electronics) that make my head hurt.
I don't believe they can do the telepathy thing, but they try to influence a person by making comments on their actions repeativly as long as prayer is not involved(that seems to silence them everytime!!)

I am just telling you all this in case you really want to develop a authentic 'fallen angel' charactor.
I know you probably all think I need serious help, but trust me, I am actually sane!!! lol!!
