For the first write in of the 2009 NaNo season we'll be meeting at the Panera Bread in Hamden.

It is located on Dixwell Ave (#2100, to be exact) and is in the same plaza as Shaw's, Chili's & PetCo. We'll be meeting there at 6pm and writing our brain out until about 9pm, give or take a few minutes on either side.

I'll have a nice bright table sign with me letting you all know which table to hang out at (or avoid) as well as a power strip or two.

Please RSVP here or by email so I know how many faces to be on the lookout for.
Any questions? Just ask.

I'll be there! Sorry I missed the kick-off party but my head will explode if I start thinking about nano too much before Nov. 1. I'm applying to grad school and am trying to get that pinned down before November starts.

Ugh, I might not be able to make it that day. I'll have to see whether or not class is canceled. (shrugs) That's what I get for having a 6:15 pm class on Mondays I guess.

Good luck to everyone who goes and writes.

I have a silly question. Are you allowed to go to a write in at a region you technically aren't part of anymore? I moved way north but I at least know where that Panera Bread is. ::laugh::

Barring any kookiness at work, I will make it out for an hour or so.

You're more than welcome to go to any of the events that any of the regions are planning. So if this write in at Panera works better for you, come on down!

I shall be there. Maybe even with bells on. It's been known to happen.

I'm going to *try* to make it! Try really hard. Piggydog has a vet appt. in Clinton so I may be late, and I have an infant so I may be absent (mentally and/or physically). ~Kate

I'll be there, but my husband isn't sure if he'll make it.

The big final rule for the comma is one that you won't find in any books by grammarians. It is quite easy to remember, however. The rule is: don't use commas like a stupid person. I mean it.

Bummer....I had planned on going to tonight's write-in, but I've come down with the flu!!! Well, hopefully, I'll be well enough to go to the next one.

Thanks to all who came out tonight. Sorry I had to bail out early, but the laptop battery can only go so long without its power cord nearby.....
