I'm over here in Brookline, wondering if anyone else is in the immediate area along Rt 51. It'd be cool to hit up some of the write-ins, but I'm new to Pittsburgh and get very lost especially with construction detours (yay!) so I'd prefer to hang out with the folks closer to home. My work hours are also likely to hinder write-in participation (I work 8am-11am and 4:30-7:30pm plus travel time to Monroeville for the afternoon hours). :(

Anyone in the area willing to hang out at a semi-local place (there's a Caribou Coffee up the road from me, I think!) for sporadic local write-ins, or should I keep an eye on the calendar and attempt to make it to the group ones?

Hi! I'm in Beechview, just across Liberty from Brookline. I'm totally up for some South Hills write-ins!

Where should we meet? I vote for the Eat N' Park in Dormont (for that all-hours writing) or The Coffee Tree in Mt. Lebanon.

i second the eat n park in dormont or the coffee tree in mt. lebo. i'm good for meeting in prime time. the wee hours writing probably won't work for me.

I live in the downtown strip of Mt Lebo, I'd be interested in more local meet-ups and write-in's because I've only been in Pittsburgh for a week now.

I live in Dormont, within close walking distance to the local Eat 'n Park, so it might be nice to meet there. The Carabou Coffee would be good, too.

What days/times are good for everyone? I am free every evening except Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and I am also free during the day on some Fridays and Saturdays.

Hi there!

I'm a WashPA Wrimo and I would love the chance for our regions to do a write-in together. Mt. Lebo works for me. I'll post in our forum to see who else would be interested. I would love to go to the downtown ones but I can't handle Pittsburgh traffic and finding places unless it is ABSOLUTELY necessary. I agree, evenings, not so much the wee hours.

I don't know how helpful I can be, lol. I am off to a really terrible start this year.

I'm free most weekday evenings, starting around 6pm. Plus, early afternoons on both days of the weekend until about 5pm.

So? Have we decided when and where we will meet for the first time? Perhaps we can get together this week. I can't today and I have plans for tomorrow and Friday night, so Thursday would be nice. I get off work at 5 and it takes me nearly an hour to get home (I usually stop at the library for a few mins), so any time after six would be excellent.

I won't be able to make it this Thursday, but maybe we can make it a weekly thing.
Does anyone know how we would get this on the Pittsburgh NaNo calendar?

I think you would email the date and time we plan to meet to our friendly neighborhood ML.

i think a weekly thing would be good, thursdays are generally the best time for me. i may also try to hit a city write-in but i'd prefer something in the south hills. it's kind of a trek into the city.

Yup, just send me a NaNoMail of the date, time, and location (I like to put addresses on the Google calendar just so everyone is clear where they're ending up), and I'll add it right on! I'll put Thursdays for the rest of the month down tenatively as 'South Hills Write-In', then just give me the details, and I can add those :)

I'm just going to send a quick email to littleredcorvette to tell her that we are going to meet at the Coffeetree in Mt. Lebanon, if that's okay with all of you.

Hey there! I live in Castle Shannon so any of the locations you've been talking about are fine with me! I may show up to the Coffee Tree tonight. Hope to see everyone there.

My schedule is terrible for write-ins... especially since I get home so late that I rarely want to go out afterward. Weekends are free if anyone wants to hang out on a Saturday or Sunday though!

Edited: realized we had figured stuff out, haha. I'll try to hit up next week's thursday write-in after work! :)
