The time is near! And what better way to ring in the NaNo new year than with your fellow ninjas and rival clans at the NaNo Eve Countdown event!
Please join us on October 31st at the Students' Union Building (University of Alberta campus) from 8pm to 1am. The doors will be open for the entirety of the event, so please drop by at your leisure!
The Students' Union Building (SUB) can be found at 8900 114 Street. A photo of the entrance and a campus map can be found here: http://www.campusmap.ualberta.ca/index.cfm?campus=1§or=5&feature=42 (SUB is building #66). It is accessible by LRT, bus, car, bike and afoot. You will either need to pay for parking on campus (Stadium Car Park is the closest) or park in the neighbourhood and walk in. We will be on the main floor, exact location to be determined (We should have signage).
For those who are trying to decide if you want to come out a while before midnight, you should know that your MLs have cooked up a festive and mysterious activity in which you can partake. We'll be running this event until 11:00, so come by earlier in the evening for some activities to get you into the spirit!
At 11:00 we will finish our pre-NaNo warmups and settle in a good spot, ready for the NaNo 2009 fireworks to begin.

Oh, that is so funny. Torrey, I was going to tell you to come out anyway, because my nano experience changed for the better when I started going to group activities (and I am normally pretty shy and introverted around new people), and then it wound up that we were on the same team last night :) It was really nice to meet you! I hope you had fun and will come out to more events! (Same goes for other new people - or old people who are shy! - too!)
