Please don't forget that Daylight Savings Time ends on November 1st this year! (We'll have a whole extra hour of November in which to write, hurray!)
And this year, we've got double the fun with two trains for rail-riding Wrimos! SarahJanet and Canoegirl (Karen) will be heading out northbound from South Campus station, while Learan (Nikki) and Harper Grey (Joce) will be heading southbound from Clareview.
Once again, Edmonton Transit has generously donated passes for the purpose of this event! We've got 30 free day-passes for the first 30 bus-pass-less Wrimos who respond to this thread. If you need your pass in advance, please try to make it to the NaNo Eve Countdown at SUB on Saturday, October 31st, and we will have one for you. If you need a pass to ride and cannot make it to the Countdown, you will need to be at one of our two meeting-stations BEFORE 1:30 p.m. Once your friendly neighbourhood MLs are on the trains, we will no longer be available to distribute passes.
If you'll be arriving late to the party, we've designated Clareview, Churchill, and South Campus stations as our flailing stations, so feel free to wait for us at one of these! We'll have signage up in the windows of our trains, and if you know you're going to be late, GET A CELL PHONE NUMBER so that you can contact us to find out how close we are to your station. Reception isn't great in some of the tunnels, so if you don't get an answer, keep trying. You may find texting more effective since we can grab those whenever we hit a little pocket of cell reception. You can also call from home to find out where we are and check the LRT schedule to determine when we'll be arriving at your station. We'll do our level best to meet up with you, but given the nature of the activity, we can't make any promises. We'll be wrapping up around 6:00 p.m., but given that many of us do not have laptops with phenomenal five-hour battery life, feel free to come for part of the afternoon, or bring a notebook and pen and give Clan Mightier than the Sword an ego-boost.

I shall be there! This was one of my favorite events last year.
I'm not sure yet which station meeting I'll be coming to. I'm going on an LRT-adventure on Thursday with a friend, so I can check out the South Campus and Clareview stations; I've never been to either of them. Whichever I feel is easier for finding people will be where I go. (Also, on a side note, a LIME GREEN ETS bus just pulled up outside the window. WOW.) I'm hoping the adventure will alleviate some of my horrid public-transit fears. I also have fears of meeting people in public places, which ties in to this. Wooooo.
Anyways, I don't need a pass. This is the ONE TIME of the year I use my U-Pass. That I have to pay stupid amounts of money for as part of my tuition. And can't opt out of. (Not bitter. Not at all.)
