If you're going to be out-and-about in a NaNoWriMo sort of way, and you'd like to invite your fellow area Wrimos to drop in, post on this thread!
For maximum happiness, an invitation should include location and timeframe. Timeframes can be formal ("from noon until three") or exceedingly casual ("from now until I'm ready to go home.") This isn't a thread for meticulous planning. It's a thread for finding yourself at Brewing Market/Vics/IHOP/etc. with time on your hands and looking for that energy boost you get from sharing some time with people who share your creative goal.
Also, specify if the space/time you're inviting Wrimos to share is a "Ssh! trying to write, here!" sort of occasion, or more of a "Woo, time to blow off some steam!" sort of occasion. Or if it's somewhere in between, like "I'll be over here writing but don't let that keep you from saying hi!"
It's also useful to mention how Wrimos dropping in on you will recognize you amongst all the other coffee-shop-with-laptop patrons. "I have a NaNoWriMo table tent on fluorescent yellow cardstock" or "My Dell Inspiron laptop has multiple NaNoWriMo stickers" is awesome. Descriptions of distinctive clothing items work too, as do descriptions of where in that public place you'll be ("At Conors, at that rectangular table allllll the way in the back by the dart board, 'cause that's where the electrical outlet is").
I'll get it started with this not-at-all hypothetical example:
I will be at the Teabox (downtown Boulder, 15th and Pearl)
today, Tuesday, October 27th,
from noon until probably 3ish.
I'm a short gal with my hair in a bun and wearing a black T-shirt with a red Halloweenish-looking devil dude on it. My 15.4" Dell Inspiron laptop is full of NaNoWriMo stickers.
I'll be working on various writing projects (including brainstorming for Nano!) in a casual sort of way. I'd love to meet and chat with other Wrimos (who are, perhaps, also brainstorming against November 1...)
Tuesdays at the Teabox are going to be a regular weekly feature that I'll put on the calendar, but since the calendar is still not up ye (I'm working on it!), here ya go!

Ok, I'll be at The Human Bean, on north Hover in Longmont for some writing. If you stop by, I'm wearing mostly blue, and my black laptop has a horn and shield NaNoWriMo sticker that is somewhat faded on the right side. I'll get there slightly past 10:30, and probably stay at least an hour, but definitely not past 12:30.

I'll be at the Cup around four thirty, and at Connor's (in the back!) tonight starting around seven. I'm wearing either a fabulous green trench coat or a bright blue t-shirt that says "Professor Science" on it. My computer has a "Naked Mole Rat" soap sticker on it.
Please feel free to say 'hi,' even if I'm staring at my computer with a murderous glint in my eye. It's not directed at you, I swear!

I'll be at Harpo's tonight (Arapahoe at 29th Street) for Monday Night Football, attempting to eke out words while rooting for my team. I'm not yet sure what I'll be wearing as far as basic clothes go, but you'll know my by my hand-knitted black-on-gold Fleur-de-Lis scarf. Well, the "gold" is more of a light copper, but it's nevertheless an unmistakable accoutrement of Saints "Who Dat?!" Fandom.
Sorry I was unable to join you earlier, Andrea! I have been doing Laundry, and eating a bit too much sausage & kale alfredo pasta.
Update: I'm in a booth to the left as you walk in the door. But if I hear of them turning on the football audio in the back room I'm totally moving there.

If anyone's interested, I'll probably be at the Boulder Library from around ten to two-ish on Saturday and Sunday, probably in that little cafe sort of thing overlooking the river. I'll be the short, pale one with black hair in either a shiny black, silver, and purple Jim Morrison t-shirt or a tie-dye, typing on the laptop with all sorts of stickers on it (I hope that's not confusingly specific...). If anyone feels like joining me, I'd be glad of the company.

You may want to nudge the thread about this on Saturday morning, just to make sure everyone remembers...
Speaking of the Boulder Library's bridge area, anyone know what happened to the Espress-Oh! that was there? I was in the library yesterday, and the entire corner where the counter was is cleared out. I mean, down to the bare floor. Will there be a new cafe, does anyone know, or just more tables and chairs?

As far as I know, there are no plans to replace the cafe on the Bridge at the Library. Sounded like the last owner had to retire b/c of health/other issues. Too bad, eh? But it's still a good meeting and work space, and I think it's legal to BYO snacks there.

It might actually be more pleasant, with more room for library patrons to sit and work and access the outlets. Bring a picnic lunch and you're set.
...
I'll be heading down the street to the Twisted Pine for about 3:30 or so. Maybe 3:45; I'm walking. Going to have a couple happy hour pints of the Espresso Stout, finish up my daily 1667, and work on other writing obligations I'm behind on. Will be there until probably 6:00 PM or whenever my husband gets off work and returns to Boulder.
Twisted Pine is at 32nd and Walnut. You don't have to be drinking age to go in. They serve soft drinks and chips and Udi sandwiches along with their yummy microbrew. There are usually a couple dogs wandering in and out of the place and a pinball table on the side and a radio playing classic rock. Wifi is reliable and outlets are readily available.

My roommate and I will be writing at the Laughing Goat tonight. We'll arrive sometime around 6:30 and stay for at least a couple of hours. We're going to be mainly focused on writing, but we're very friendly, and I only occasionally bite people, so we'd be happy if anyone wanted to join us. I'll be pretty easy to identify, since I plan to be rockin' the steampunk monochrome look and will probably have a top hat. My roommate is identifiable because she is awesome amounts of tall and her laptop has a large creepy-tree-on-a-purple-background sticker.

My husband and I just landed at Flatiron Coffee on the Northwest corner of 28th Street & Arapahoe Ave here in Boulder. There is plenty of room for people and computers at the moment.
We'll be here for an hour minimum, probably more than that. You'll know me by the silver Dell computer and the cane hanging on a shelf behind me.
Hope everyone is having a great writing night!
Edit: We're out of here to get some lunch, I hope to see a few of you tomorrow here at Flatiron Coffee!

Edit: Tomorrow is my day off, so unless I get hit by a car (again!), I should be at Flatirons before the official write in. I'll update here with the time I get there or when I know I should be arriving!

Yeah, naradragonfly's description made me wish I could do Wednesday evening twice. If John and I hadn't had a date to see Where the Wild Things Are (OMG good movie, see it before it leaves theaters!), I'd have totally been there.
So I'm at Pekoe @ Steelyards - the new one that used to be Joe's Espresso, just north ef the Mapleton & 30th intersection. I'll be here until probably 11:00 AM or so, then I gotta get supplies next door at P.C.'s Pet Bakery and then go home for lunch. I'm in a red Rush T-shirt (the band, not the political commentator) and I'm sitting in the northwest corner of the shop. Feel free to show up and evict my bookback from the other chair at the table.
I'll be at Flatirons later on tonight. I'm gonna send out a regional email shortly with the event rundown, now that Ellen and I seem to have stuffed the calendar to capacity (not that we can't add more if others wish to organize and host events!), and then make a thread specifically for the Thursday night stuff.

I love this! Thanks for the new-to-me term. "Steampunk" sent me right to the urban dictionary site for the definition: "Steampunk is a subgenre of speculative fiction, usually set in an anachronistic Victorian or quasi-Victorian alternate history setting. It could be described by the slogan 'What the past would look like if the future had happened sooner.' It includes fiction with science fiction, fantasy or horror themes." I think of Johnny Depp in any Tim Burton film.
And I'm writing with you in spirit, Niki, but am too happy to leave my own private cafe with my own espresso, scones, and favorite tunes. I love cafes and community, too, but everything I really love is right here (and already paid for). Oh, and I have a dance class at 10:45. ;-) Write on!

On Sunday, I will be at Harpo's (29th & Arapahoe) from about 1:30 until whenever the New Orleans Saints are finished kicking the collective butts of the Carolina Panthers. I may actually manage to get some writing done between plays. If you don't mind your tablemate occasionally yelling things like, "STOP HIM STOP HIM SIT ON HIM!," we can call it a write-in...

I won't be able to get to Boulder on Sunday, but I will be at Vic's in Longmont, Airport Rd, from 12pm to 2pm, writing away if you feel like roaming farther from home. It is very quiet there, and the staff is very friendly and loves to see us WriMos comin'!

I'm in the back room of Harpo's now (29th & Arapahoe), and I have been assured that they can turn on the 2:05 PM Saints v. Panthers game with audio back here. I'll be here until the end of that game, so at least through 5:00 PM.
The back room tends to be relatively calm, compared to the rest of the bar, although brief outbursts from football fans do echo a bit off the low ceiling. I have finally found a place to plug in my 6-way power strip back here. And if my team wins, they go 8-0 for the first time ever. Life is good!
ETA: Game on! Lonely back here, though; no one but me yet. Waiting for the other two Saints fans in the bar to show up.

Hi everyone!
My roommate and I will be at Folsom St Coffee tonight from around 6:30 to at least 8pm, and probably later. Possibly until they throw us out. She's the tall amazon with brown hair probably in a ponytail. Very tall. Laptop covered with large purple sticker. I'm the smaller, curly-haired one, and I expect to be wearing a white sweater. Probably a pretty pink skirt, but definitely the sweater. We will be typing fiendishly, and I will be complaining about being cold.
I promise we won't bite, so come say hi and write with us!

Then I'll mosey down to B&N to work on the novel and meet up with peacekeeper and, hopefully, if I can stay long enough, jmosnik.
Dell computer with lots of Nano stickers, short gal with rock-n-roll T-shirt & jeans & hair up in a bun, probably will put out the Nano Postcards Onna Cardboard Tube table indicator.
