Hi guys!

I'll edit the date on this every week, but otherwise the info's pretty much going to be the same.

Info:

First Session!
November 2, 1-4pm
UTSG* Kelly Library
113 St Joseph St
St Joseph and Bay

We'll meet up in the main floor café/study area. When you go in the front doors of the library, just hang a sharp left. The room's full of tables and squishy chairs, there's usually a book sale of sorts going on, and there's a little café in the back corner.

This event is open to everyone! I wanted to make that clear, just in case anyone had doubts because of the location.

Directions:

Easiest way to get there would probably be to take the Bloor/Danforth line to Bay station, then either walk the block south, or jut take the bus down to St. Joesph Street. I think the bus comes fairly often, but the walk's only about five minutes anyway.

Walk west on St. Joesph. Kelly Library is on the south side - there are big banners on the front, declaring it's name, and there's usually a sign out front announcing the "Kelly Café" which is in the room we're meeting up in. If it helps, the pedestrian crosswalk on St. Joesph is basically right in front of the library.

Also: If anyone has a spare power bar, would you mind hauling it with you? I have a small one that I'll be bringing, but a "just in case" spare would be awesome.

*University of Toronto, St. George. In case you were wondering.

I'm going to try coming (no guarantees); and I'll bring a spare power bar.

Yes! All of the official event mods are equipped with at least a few copies of the zine and of last year's CD. If there's any trouble getting a copy, though, get in touch with me and I'll make sure we have a copy (or two) for you at the event of your choosing.

Aaaand Vic was so relieved to be done with the public speaking at the Launch party that she's forgotten already. :D

I will not have 'Zines this coming Monday, as I don't currently have any in my possession and have no way of getting any before then.

From the ninth on I will have them.

Whoops, my bad! Thanks, Alyssa.

I stand corrected.

I can't make the kick-off events on November 1, but I look forward to this event at the U of T campus. While I was an undergrad (and then grad) student at U of T, I always wanted to do NaNoWriMo but November was always a crunched time for school work. Not so this year!

I can't promise at this point, but I'm going to try to be there and (if I make it) I'll bring copies of the zine for those who have been asking about them!

I'm afraid it's not looking likely that I'll be there this coming week - at the moment, I work from 3pm to 11pm, so I would only be able to be there for an hour. (And I'm afraid I'm more likely to do online word wars with my friend in Florida for that hour....)

Have a good time, and with luck, I'll be able to join you soon!

I wish I could make it - unfortunately, that's right during a lecture I have!

I'm going to try and get to this one... it'll depend on how things are going at home. If I get on a roll, I might not pack up and head downtown, but if (as is likely) I wind up getting distracted by stuff around the house, I'll come to the write-in to get my act together! I have the day off and my son will be at daycare, so it'll be a much-needed chance to get off to a good wordcount start.

Okay, I'll be there! I'm gonna take my car in for new brakes, hop on the subway while that's being done, and pick up the car after :D

See you soon!

I would totally be there right now, but I'm basically passed out in Sid's Cafe and the walk across campus could very well be the end of me. So next week I'll drag my hopefully by then not sick self there. If there was another non official time that wasn't during one of my lectures that would be great as well. But finding a way to work around things like school and work is half the fun don't you think?

Hi guys!

Our last session is coming up this Monday (I won't be running one on the 30th).

To anyone who is going to be coming: Due to an accident last week, I again won't have 'Zines. Sorry! I do still have CDs available though.

Like usual, we'll be found in Kelly Library, probably at the first or second table as soon as you enter the Café area. See you there Monday the 23 from 1-4!

I won't be able to make it either. I have a paper and a presentation due on tuesday, so I need to spend most of the day working on it. :( Sad panda.
