Hello Everyone!

Over the past few years, I've been making it a habit to head over to the b.good located next to the Back Bay MBTA station on a weekly basis in November. They have good burgers, good seating, and good plug locations. Which is to say nothing of the friendly staff (who like to try to guess what we're up to).

After talking with a few people and checking the events calendar, I've decided that I'll be heading over there on Wednesdays this year. I get out of work at 6, so I'm going to plan on getting there about 6:30 and closing them down.

You are all welcome to join me. I tend to sit to the right of the doors, and this year I'll be primarily using my little Acer netbook (which is covered in Nano stickers). If I don't have that, I'll have my full laptop (which is also covered in Nano stickers. I'm kind of a Nano Nerd, I suppose). Either way, I like to believe I'm a fairly difficult person to miss.

Hope to see you there!

PS - I am fully aware that our first Thursday write-in will be at that very same b.good, but they have enough burgers to totally make it worth it. I will simply be there two days in a row.

It was brought to my attention I forgot to put in the actual address of b.good, so here you go:

131 Dartmouth St. Boston, MA 02116 (map)

See you next Wednesday!

Some of us had already talked about going there on Mondays at that time, over on the Back Bay/ South End/ etc thread. It's more inconvenient for me on Wednesday, but I suppose if that's what works for everyone else I can change my plans.

Kas, I had been following that thread, but the impression I got was that you guys and girls were going to be using space in the Prudential. Was I mistaken?

Well, no matter, really. Just because I'm going on Wednesdays doesn't mean you can't also go on Mondays. Don't worry about cancelling those for me - I don't want to usurp anyone else's satellite write-ins, I'm just adding to the (growing) number.

Ultimately, I'd say go to what you want when you can. Oh, and go to the official ones, because those are always the most awesome.

Hi, just to clear it up here, the Prudential write-in I know about is the one we are planning at Barnes & Noble on Friday, the 6th, at 4 in the afternoon. (Not Mondays.) UNless someone made some other plans.

No wait, sorry, that write-in at the Pru B&N is on the 13th (Friday) at 4. (There is one out here in Burlington on the 6th.)

*SocioTom* I'm probably coming across as grouchy, but that's from the cold I've been down with all week. Apologies. Colds turn me into a cross between Eeyore and Oscar the Grouch.

The Monday b.good plans got buried somewhere in the middle of the other thread, so I'm not surprised it got a little lost. I'll start a new satellite thingy. I might show up on one or two Wednesdays when I don't have homework.

*Igravina* We're talking about the b.good Mondays idea, not the Pru idea. Again, it got buried somewhere in the middle of the other thread.

I'd like to point out the note about hazy details being buried in the middle of a thread -- specifically, a completely different thread from the one in question -- as the reason I need people to e-mail me when they firm up their plans for write-ins. Experto crede.

E-mail me at letterslight@gmail.com when plans are confirmed for Monday -- or whenever.

I know, it's just that SocioTom thought it had something to do with the Pru, so I thought I'd clarify our plans for that. Happy Satelliting!

BTW to everybody, I have to work Sunday the 1st and miss the write-in, I think. I run a movie theater so in between shows I can write. So hopefully that's what I'll be able to do.

btw, I'm totally going to be at these --except for this first week because, ummm... My hockey team is on TV, and much as I love writing with other awesome writers, my Sharks only make it onto East Coast television like 6 times a season. And I may be slightly obsessed.

So. Next week!

Hey All,

Just a quick reminder that today is the first of the Sattelite write-ins at b.good over next to the Back Bay station. I'll be there around 6:30 with my Nano-centric netbook (it's covered in stickers), so I hope to see you there!

Of course, if you can't make it out to Back Bay tonight, I'd suggest heading out to Somerville for the Satellite write-in out there at Bloc 11 (it's all on the Google calendar).

Hope you all are having a lovely Wednesday. Happy Writing!

I don't know if the staff will be guessing anymore.

I called over there to be certain that they are where they appear to be on my google map (i've had some bad luck with google maps) and also to confirm the NaNoWriMo event.

They hadn't heard of it before, but now they know.

I guess that means I will definitely be buying food (paying the rent) if I occupy a seat!

Hi Axylyxa,

As this isn't an official NaNoWriMo event, there probably isn't a reason to notify the staff in advance. Even at official events, we encourage folks to purchase something as a show of appreciation, since our venues are letting us use their space gratis.

Enjoy the write-in!

Cheers,
Travis

just an FYI to anyone who might be going tonight: I'll be there well before Tom's arrival at 6:30 (I am leaving work at the crack of 5, if not earlier) so if you get there early you should join me! if you don't know me I, uh, brown hair, red glasses, bright purple coat, big yellow earrings... let's be honest I don't blend in well. you'll find me.
