New write-in location in Santa Rosa -- Borders Books Cafe, Santa Rosa Ave, SR (same center as Michaels & Aarons)

Wednesdays & Saturdays

Wednesdays ---- 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. -- (they close at 9:00 during the week)

Saturdays ---- 6:30 – 8:30 (9:30?) p.m. -- (they close at 10:00 on Saturday)

This cafe has become more popular, so it fills up pretty fast with other people who will also be hunkering down for several hours. Some of us come earlier at times, and some of us stay right up until closing, but you can count on 6:30 - 8:30.

The Wednesday night write-in is probably my favorite write-in of all!

Hope to see some of you there...

Don't forget the Wednesday Write-in at Borders Books!

And the Saturday write-in there too. I think it's the only write-in scheduled for Saturday night.

Not so much a write in, but I'll be there this morning (Fri 11/6) from about 10 until around 11:30 or so. I'll have a big red leather bag with me and the face of a stressed out writer! Plus, the requisite sugar-free vanilla latte.

I talked to Ethereel yesterday, and it sounds like she and another friend are planning to show up (Borders Cafe, Santa Rosa, Saturday, Nov. 7) sometime between 5 and 6.

I've never been to a write-in before, so she talked me into coming tonight. I'm a bit skeptical about my ability to focus on writing with a group of people, but I may as well give it a shot! Also, I don't have a laptop, so I'll be doing it the old-fashioned way with pen and paper. (If I still remember how to do it. The pointy end goes down on the paper, right?)

So, I'll be there around 5:30. In case you're still on the fence: I'll be bringing CHOCOLATE to share!

That's funny you should say that...my students were just moaning about how the in-class final that awaits them is daunting because they will be writing-writing, not typing! Cramps galore. But I can't make it tonight. I would love to have a round-up of all planned write-ins close-ish to me. Do you know of anything scheduled for tomorrow? Thanks, and enjoy your chocolate.

I'll be there tonight around 6 or 6:30, and I'll bring an electric power bar as well! That way we'll have some extra plugs.

I am going to try and make it, but I can't make any guarantees. Living over the hill without a car makes getting places a little tough, but I'm determined! If I do make it, it'll be sometime after 6:30. (:

Also, it should be noted, I go to hit CTRL+S every time I type anything. I've attempted to save many a web page by now.

On Saturday, I am reading a piece from my Work In Progress, from Angel.
It's sponsored by Redwood Writers. Come hear part of what I hope will be an entertaining story.
I believe there are 4 or 5 of us reading this Saturday. Take a little break from writing and come listen, supporting local writers.

How fun Shastra
I would love to hear you and join other writers but we are leaving town (again!)
I have so enjoyed hearing all of you talk about your writing and your challenges - thank you for all the sharing, what a wonderful time this is, I'm a NaNo Convert!

Hi All,

I generally plan on attending all write-ins that I host, so unless something comes up, I will be there this Saturday, and the next.

However, my life has gone from crazy into full blown overdrive this month, and there is always the chance that I may have to miss one, even one I am hosting.

That said, please come out and write with your fellow writers. We had ten at the first Saturday write-in, and four last Saturday. Four for each of the Wednesday write-ins. Even if I can't be there, you can still meet up and write together. It's a wonderful, encouraging and motivating experience to write with a group of other people doing this. Most of the 38,000 words I've clocked it to date have occurred at write-ins.

Write-on, fellow wrimos!
