Ok. So Pancake Manor in the city is open 24/7. Public transport doesn't run 24/7, as much as some of us may want it to. I'm finding it hard to sit and write for long enough to be productive. The idea of sitting in Pancake Manor from 10pm until 5-6am in a caffeine&nacho/pancake/crepe-fuelled attempt to bump up my wordcount up is growing more attractive (provided we can organise something with the electricity unless we want to pay tribute to our ancient predecessors.)
Would anyone be interested?

I'd think about doing it in the day, but not at night. My parents would skin me alive.

Lol, That's okay.

I've spent around 16 hours writing it since it started XD Worked my ass off to get there. I type around 70-80wpm if focused XD So yeah. Not too bad when I think about it. I just guess I'm really use to writing long lengths at once XD Fun~ .

We tried to do a write in at the Pancake Manor and to be frank with you, I find them rude and would prefer to NEVER again give them my business.
That said, I am most productive between midnight and 5am... If you find an alternate location, one that will let us plug in, and I am there!

I would probably be up for this, but yeah, depends where it is. I've never been to Pancake Manor but if it doesn't let us plug in then that's probably not the best place, considering electricity is important :D

The idea of sitting somewhere like Hungry Jacks does not appeal to me xD and I don't know any other 24 hour places, hmm.

*not helpful*

Hubby loves the idea of it (he has a small obsession with pancakes)
But if they're not helpful... a 24 hour maccas is my best suggestion.

Maybe we could write a letter and convince some cafe or library or borders or something to do an all nighter, on the 22nd as the Australian night of writing dangerously!

I think city Hungry Jacks is open 24 hours, but it is revolting. Have to keep thinking, I'm sure theres a bar(n) somewhere that is user-friendly... Coffee, electricity and clean toilets are essential.

24 hour restaurants in Brisbane city:

Malones Cafe Restaurant - Queen Street
Fat Boys Cafe (Thurs to Sat only) - Brunswick Street
Mellino's Restaurant, Cafe and Bar - Brunswick Street

Plus McDonalds and Hungry Jacks. I can't see this being too fantastic as the chairs and tables aren't too fabulous and I know that I would make an attempt to eat my weight in soft serve.

If you make a decision on this please make sure you call and let them know that we will be bringing laptops and WILL need to plug them in. As fun as I'm sure writing by hand is, I'm sure that many people just don't have the time for it.

Wow, if Borders could be open for 24 hours I'd be in heaven. Where would we write though? In the adjoining coffee shop? There's books and customers everywhere else. =P

Oh wow, that's about the same as mine in the same conditions... which let's be frank, I've NEVER emulated since highschool and government work... so I can understand how you can write that fast, what kind of condition you have to be in, and that you've clearly worked your ass off. But 16 hours? Wow! That couldn't possibly be in a row, though... could it? THAT would be truly epic.
