I just reached 8k so have decided to take a break. I'm actually sat in the Quad at the moment, taking advantage of their free wifi and amazing pots of tea which have lasted 3 cups worth for £1.55! The music is all jazzy and cool I feel like a right pretentious little writer sat in here with my netbook! It would probably be classier if my netbook wasn't bright pink mind!
Anyhow, everyone should have started now and i was just wondering how people are getting on? I have a habit of going into gear 5 in my first week and then slowing down in the middle before realising I still have 10k to finish by the end. I managed a fair bit yesterday as I got up early on a Sunday and just started tapping away. I am now on chapter 2 and starting to slow down already.
Who is coming to tonights meet in the Library? Should be good fun!

I'm more of a slow and steady type. I tend to hit my daily target and then stop. I managed to do my count yesterday in an hour using Write or Die.

I've had a slow start.......109 words so far. But I was out all of yesterday and did the 109 in the evening just so I could say I did something on the first day.
I'll probably do more after the Meet tonight. (I'm at work at the moment...lunch hour)

I had a slow start, beginnings are delicate things (to coin a phrase), but now I’m into it the story seems to be flowing rather well.
I didn’t think I would enjoy the process as much as I am, but this is fun.
Sorry to say I can’t make the meeting tonight, as much as I’d love to. But hopefully I will make one of the others :-)

I have this week off work (extra week of half term!) so I'm hoping to get quite a lot written over the next few days; that'll mean I can slack off a bit later on after school starts again. However, I also have two editing jobs on my desk at the moment - hmm, real paid work over NaNo? Let me think...
Up to 5.6K in the last two days, though, so the real work can't be distracting me too much. :) Can't make the meet tonight (got kids, partner away, no babysitter etc), but hope to make a Sunday get-together later on.

I was doing relatively well till this afternoon - my mum roped me into helping her paint the stairway and living room... I wouldn’t have minded so much but you can’t even tell that it’s been painted >>;;
But it shouldn’t really be a problem since I do most of my writing at night, so as long as I can do 1700 a day I should be fine... Plus I have a two two hour train journeys tomorrow and Wednesday and last year I managed about 3k on one train journey... So I should be fine... Unless I get home tomorrow and find that my house has fallen down...
Storywise I still have no idea what I’m going on about, I’m just writing whatever and hoping that it works e.g. my MC got surprised while using the toilet and ended up peeing on some random woman... You know, stuff like that… but I figure having a solid plan of what to write really didn’t help me last year so this year I’m winging it.

Managed to get up to 1705 words today (behind, I know) written mostly in my psychology lesson. Good job I'm good at that subject :3
