Characters?

My main character is a 25-year old woman who has just been proposed to by her boyfriend who is about to ship off to war. She was previously in the military herself, and knows what is going to be happening, but is still finding herself overwhelmed by it all. She finds that she has 2 weeks to put a wedding together, tell their families, and prepare their goodbyes - all while being strong for her soldier so he feels secure that the homefront will be taken care of while he's overseas.
... and thats just the first chapter or two.

Have to say that sounds pretty dang interesting.

So far my characters are mostly undeveloped concepts taken from a previous project of mine, the story I'm writing taking place a decent amount of time after what I had finished writing for that, though still using the world, background historical timeline, and Geography with small alterations. Anywho enough rambling Characters:

Unnamed Soldier, who will remain unnamed until the end of the Story, provides a monologue for the opening, and I plan on cutting to reports or logs or a journal of his throughout the story. He's actually on the opposing side of my other soon to be developed characters. And his portions of the Story will all be in First person. While the rest will be written in 3rd.

The Main Characters on the other side will Include the line up of:
Robert - Mystery Man
Maria - Teenager turned Rebel
Ryhana - Older sister to Maria, turns Rebel as well.
Richard - Father to Maria and Ryhana, is the one that recruits them.
Xiaohui - orphan girl
Shanna - Teen Girl Abducted By a Tech Company.
Davis - Rebel/Raider Leader.

Sadly I can't use or even find now really short intro written for Maria and Ryhana and their Father, Richard...alway thought of it as my best work...

And back to work....after getting snacks....and drink...I got me two days worth of catching up to do!!

Omg so much catching up to do. Tomorrow I'm going to have to write like. 20k words, rofl but I'm off so I can do that tomorrow. >___>

My main character: Frey Corlett, a demon who was cursed to live in human form, and he lost all of his powers, save for immortality. The witch has since died, and though persistance, he has gotten a few of his powers back. My main character is... pretty much works as the antagonist as well, which is going to be pretty fun to write.

Second main character: Erasmus (no last name yet, he might never get one), a vampire who has lost most of his sanity. He has moments of clarity, but for the most part he rambles incoherently, stares at people with wide eyes and has a stuffed dog (taxidermy, not childrens toy) that he claims is still alive.

......:D I can't wait for my plot twists. >___>

I really should be working on my story, but after staring at where I left off at two-fifteen this morning for about ten minutes, I still can't figure out how to continue. Maybe this post about the characters will help spark something and I have meant to do this.

I've got quite a few characters (maybe too many) so I'm going to stick to the three main ones.

Captain Elena Scelatia- she's the captain and commanding officer of my space station Glaxian. Raised on Earth mostly by her mother as her father , a military officer, was away from home during most of her childhood (in the original version the father is killed during the world war she grew up during but the verdict is still out on that one). She has two older brothers, both now admirals in the Earth Confederation Military. She is a widow, her husband having been the security chief of the last station that was her posting. She's got teenage twins, Victoria and Turner.

Commander Geoffrey Ziabro - he'll eventually be my security officer. He's got a reputation of being a bit of a hot head, and his methods are unorthodox, which is why the Earth Confedration brass are trying to keep him on assignments close to Earth where they can keep an eye on him, due to a situation that I referred to as the Jovian incident. (I need to find my notes on that because I can't remember where I was going with that). He is a very effective security officer and well respected professionally by the officers he has served with and who have served under him. Despite his rough edges he is loyal, dependable, caring and a trusted friend and advisor to Scelatia, whom he has known for years and was friends with both her and her husband.

Kalmartin - he's one of my alien characters. His race, the Cantawentri, are my main antagonists in the story. Not sharing the views of his people, who's vision is to control and slave the other worlds of the gamma quadrant, like they do in the Beta Quadrant, he lead a group of military officers in a high jacking of the war ship Tarishmette. Since then, he has gathered many others from different races who are either escaping something from their own worlds, searching for something, or see Kalmartin's group, the Karin Aricent, as a way to help protect their home worlds from the Cantawentri. Kalmartin's vision for the Aricent, is for them to be able to find a place where they can set up their own world which embraces a mixture of the culture of the races which make up the group.

I have two main characters, a girl and boy.

Ophelia Blake: Is a 16 year old sophomore who is the daughter of a now convicted methamphetamine dealer who was a teenage mom.She has been to move in with her Grandmother and Aunt whom she has never met because her mom was kicked out 16 years ago when she was conceived. She is very spiteful and hates her Grandmother for being so mean to her mother and tries to get her new family as mad as possible so that they will kick her out. She would rather live in a foster home then with them. She was named Ophelia because the name is a symbol of angst to teenage girls so her mother, being a teenager just abandoned by her family, picked it due to her own personal feelings rather then what suited the baby.

Ulrich Phillips: He is Ophelia's neighbor, he is a 17 year old sophomore and a foster child himself. He has been living with the Phillips for five years, which is the longest he has lived with a family. His biological mother was from Germany and so picked an old German name for him. Their whereabouts are never mentioned. Ulrich has a serious obsession with secrets and the truth and he goes around listening to peoples conversations and digging through mail to learn them. His sense of humor is mostly to pick fun at Ophelia and at times he has a big brother complex.
