Yay! Finally cracked the 10k mark.

I think i have another hour in me before I fall into a coma. Four hours sleep after a night shift is not enough.

Up to 5,700, aiming for around 7,000 before 12...it might happen...maybe.

Would love to break 7000 but have reached a loss of story impetus. I need to introduce a mysterious incident on the plane trip but I've got to get her to the plane first without too much deadly dull narrative...

Despite the working with a handicap of Cup Day drinking I managed to get above 5000 words.
I'd toast to the victory if I had any booze left. ;)

Surprisingly managed a few thousand wordsd at the write in. Nice to meet y'all! Not conducive to massive word counts for me.

Cracked 17k. Now the real Nano starts for me. Regular working hours, Weekends with STUFF on. It was good to get a head start with two free days of writing.

I'm hoping to hit 6k before I go to bed. I've started outlining my MFC. The story's taken a massive twist where I didn't expect there to be one, and as upsetting as it is to read over it, that was my intention.

You could have said a word, but you turned away. Or do you always act in such a passive way?

Cracked 30k while waiting for my train to leave (around 9:10). Taking a break for a few hours before starting again on day 4 (hoping for 40k).

Still 600 words to go til I hit target for tonight. tmi alert - just jumped in the shower to wash my hair and had loads of story ideas! Wish I had a waterproof lap top!
Now when I hit a block in my story I'll jump in the shower! I anticipate becoming very water logged! LOL!

I'm quite happy with almost-6k after the write-in today, given the amount of other things I was trying to do. I still have a week of uni and study to do, so just doing the minimum required to reach 50k is very satisfying for me right now.

what's your end target, Bella?

I'm hoping for 100k with the combination of my memoir and novel.

I did a 2k essay today, which unfortunately doesn't count on word count, so I got less than 400 words done today. But, I have study the next week, so that shouldn't take up all my time, so here's hoping!

Congrats to all you guys, you're doing really well! Keep up the great work!

Just hit 6k!
Unfortunately it was a few minutes after midnight, so my official count for day 3 was 5,838.

Massive disaster on the home front. Have just spent the last hour in the unglamorous position cleaning up poop. My 20mth old beautiful boy has gastro. I could hear from his room mummy, mummy. I went in and he showed me his hand and said 'ook'. it was everywhere! We had to go to KMart to get a new matress protector, throw him in the shower...... you get the picture!
But I've just finished the last 200 words I needed. Now if he'll go to sleep, then so can my husband and I!
