This morning on the train to work I wrote a scene where the MC walks down Lygon Street looking for a particular building. When she eventually finds it the first thing she notices is at some point the building had shifted on it's foundations and looked like it was about to fall over.
And this afternoon this happens: http://www.theage.com.au/national/patients-flee-as-medical-centre-collap...
Tomorrow I'll try to include a scene where a character who shares my name wins the Powerball jackpot.

It's an amalgam of all the dive bars I've ever been too. I don't think I could destroy a real life part of Lygon St without being overwhelmed by crushing guilt.

A while ago I would have been happy for you to knock off Starbucks but thankfully it already bit the dust! I'm glad to hear that the real Lygs is safe from your (possibly) prescient imagination.

Argh, dangit.... "A Yarra Trams spokesman said the route 19 tram had been disrupted."
That's the bloody tram for work. ARGH. Oh well. Hopefully they'll fix it.
Oh, wait... looks like it's higher up the line... Maybe...
But man, that's freaky. O-o;
----------I'm almost afraid of what you're going to write next. XD

Today I accidentally wrote an earthquake into the story. Stay tuned to your wireless radios and printed news media.
You have been warned.
