I don't go to UCF but I live in the area - and it is a lot closer than most places for me to get to - especially if it is during the day on a weekend or even on a Wednesday or Thursday in the evening (those are the days the roommate who works nights is off work!)

I am all for this as well as I live fairly close. Also - I noticed there's a lot of the UCF writers who don't have cars. I have to drive past there on my way to Waterford and I'm planning to go to the write-in this Saturday (Nov 7th). So if anybody would like to hitch a ride I'd be more than happy to oblige. I have 3 seats open (4 if you don't mind squishing). Couple bucks for gas or caffeine would be appreciated but certainly not required. Having to pick up other people is a great motivator ;)

Indeed, in the true fashion of a N00b I just read all the meeting forums, and the waterford meetup seems just as close as the on campus one. I think i'm going to try and make it to that on the 7th. See you all there!

I would LOVE to meet on campus. I'm a student at UCF so that would be easier for me than anything else. The coffee shop/bookstore that's sort of in the middle of campus as opposed to the one that's over by the arena and the stadium would actually be a good place to meet. The only problem is that their outlets are more accessible to the barstools than the tables that we would need to sit at for a group. I think we could work it out though. My honor society actually has a lot of committee meetings there and it works well...there's food and COFFEE.

I know they have limited hours on weekends since there are less students on campus. I believe they're actually closed on Sundays and are only open 10am-2pm on Saturdays. Monday - Thursday they're open until 7pm and Friday until 5pm.

I'm also a student (main campus) and I think that's a great idea!
Maybe someplace in the Student Union or (if we turn out to be a small group) the book store is always nice to lounge, work and eat.

I'm a recent alumni but I've still got my parking pass and could bring my laptop to work on my novel, if writing together is a motivating factor. Plus the weather lately has been absolutely perfect for day writing!

I haven't been to the meet ups yet ... but UCF is closer to me than waterford and parking aside, would probably prefer going to UCF to meet up. THere's more room to go outside at UCF too, and the weather's been great.

So, I'd be interested as well.

I would love to meet up at UCF, could we get together on a MWF in the bookstore or maybe the Union? Those are the days I have classes and am on campus since I don't live at UCF I'm not really around any other time.

I'd be down for a MWF meetup. I have from 8:50 - 10:10 and 11:30 to 12:30 open. What time is in everyone else's best interest?

I'm good with MW and I'm free anytime until 3:00. Though if it's any earlier than 10:00 I probably won't get up for it...haha.

Then how about 11:30-12:30 on Monday? That's good for me, in the bookstore?

Sad, I'm going to have to miss it, I have to work all day on MW :(

Do you guys mean the bookstore by the Union, or the one over by the arena?

Oh you know, I didn't even think of that, I'm in the one by the union I have a bright pink hoodie on, and I'm sitting in the cafe with a silver laptop (not finding any outlets anywhere though...)

Perhaps to facilitate better communication, is there a UCF specific group on a social networking site everyone can visit and maybe update to? (i.e facebook)
