Hey All-
There will be a write in every Saturday in November at Monica's at the Park. The address and phone number are as follows:
1735 Adams Ave
(between North Ave & Park Blvd)
San Diego, CA 92116
(619) 665-2162
Billed as a coffee shop cafe, Monica's also serves a really good breakfast on the weekends.
This weekend Mike (alchemi) will be hosting the write in. I'll be hosting for the rest of the Saturdays.
Just to give us an idea of who might be coming this weekend, please give a shout out on this thread so we know how many people to expect.
Laurie (lschultz)

I'm definitely coming. I am also recruiting any and all willing participants who would like to help me sabotage languagepirate so that I can pull ahead of her word count. :)

Technically it is 7:30 am to 9:30 am, but it will really be until everyone decides to leave. Given we will have some people joining a bit later, I wouldn't be surprised if it went until 10:30 or 11:30 (but no guarantees if you're hoping to drop in VERY late).

Wait, they have 7:30 on SATURDAYS now? What will they think of next?
----------I might make it there a bit late.
I don't suppose someone's will to post (or NanoMail me) a phone number I could use to check if people are still there?Duh, silly me, there's already a phone number listed. That being said, I doubt I'll be there tomorrow. I'm going to see the Lion King tonight, which means I'll probably be staying up late to get the day's quota in. But who knows, maybe Kyra (my oh-so-flighty muse) will drop by, and I'll get the writing done in time for a good night's sleep.

I'm coming...
Anecdotally, I think I actually was in the little room where the group met a few Saturday's ago. Three people were talking about what story they were writing and I heard someone mention Nano, which I knew was coming up but hadn't thought about.
Subsequently, I was surfing around Halloween night (because alas I have no life) and happened upon the Nano site and decided to do it this year (been trying to write a novel for 15 years but just couldn't get started).
When I joined the site, I noticed there were meet-ups at Monica's which is totally convenient for me, as I very often go there on Saturday mornings, and I put them on my calendar. It then dawns on me that I kind of accidentally already attended a pre-Nano meeting of the group, if only vicariously as an eavesdropper.
So, see you there, again, all official like. :)

I'm definitely going to be there, but tomorrow I'll have to leave a little bit earlier than normal. Just because my insane boss has decided that I need to be there at 9 instead of 9:30 which makes no sense considering it takes just half an hour for everyone to actually be ready to open. Not that anyone cares about why I have to leave early...but yes I will be there. In case you did not get that.

I'll come if I can (if so it will probably be on the late side)... If I can't make it tomorrow, I want to try to come at least one time this month. This is all new to me, so it would be cool to meet some other NaNo people...
