The important thing is, I'm starting! Quick math, and if I write 2k words a day, I should just make it in time. Caffeine and mental crutches, here we go!

You CAN do it! Just plan about 5 days in to do a few double - duty days, once the creative juices are really flowing. I bet it will be so easy then!

You can definitely do it! I didn't sign up until November 2, and I've been playing catch up ever since. So far I've been hitting the daily wordcount goal, and then putting another 50-100 words on top of it to chip away at the deficit. I have a long weekend this weekend, and I'm planning on spending at least a couple of quality afternoons at the local coffeehouse with my little laptop. I'm hoping that'll help get me ahead.

Keep going! You can do it!

I did the math, and if the daily word count goal is set at 2000, it will get there. Thank goodness for the word nazis behind Write or Die, or would never happen.

Let's all loosen up our fingers, give them a good stretch, and give today's word count a run for its money, eh?

I'm late! maybe too late, but I'm still going to try. I had to be out of town for the first few days of November.

I think I have a solid idea for a plot, but what I don't know is...can I make a living and still crank out a novel? Because it's kind of important to crank out the words that generate ,my income...

Sherisaid, I hear ya. I'm a legal secretary, so I spend a good part of my day typing, and then I come at night and work on this. It's a LOT of typing, and it gets a little painful sometimes. I'm hopeful though. Keep at it!!

All right, so here's the deal: I'm a massage therapist. Since you actually posted to the thread BEFORE the bribery, if you hit that word count, I'll take you out for coffee and a free 15 minute bit of work on your hands and wrists. Have to get the tension out somehow, yes?
