I intend to spend my evening at the Laughing Goat on Pearl, intermittently drinking coffee and beer to push me into a state of late-night delirium genius so I can catch up on my real work after an exhaustive week of school. I'm interested in talking plot with folks, getting a few thousand words writ, making caffeine and alcohol duel in my belly, and just generally gettin down to it. Highly recommend some of you come down. I'll show up around 8, and I'll do something so you recognize me instead of sitting there wondering who among you is secretly writing a novel behind their laptop.
cheers

Have fun! I'm afraid I'll be at Brewing Market for the scheduled Friday Night Write-In - but if it's impossible to find seats we may migrate your way.
You might want to check the Laughing Goat web page and find out if any live music is planned, just to be prepared.

Baseline Brewing Market, the only one that stays open at all late. And it doesn't serve alcohol, I'm afraid; but BeauJo's next door certainly does have a bar, along with wi-fi and excellent pizza. I may actually head down there somewhat before the write-in to have dinner.
The Brewing Market Write-In is on the Calendar widget that's right at the top of the Colorado :: Boulder forum home page; if you click on an item it will expand inside the widget to display the rest of the details. Of course, I only put it on the calendar something like Wednesday morning, so, kinda last minute of me. But it's only week 1 yet!

And there's also the Dark Horse around the corner, of course; hamburgers til at least 10 and alcohol til probably 2.
I'm also fond of the Twisted Pine taproom, up in my neighborhood at 32nd and Walnut, but they close at 8 I think.

Just checked out the schedule at the Laughing Goat and found out that they do have music planned for exactly when I was going to go. I'm going to head down instead around 6. i think that'll get me the time needed, and it might be happy hour as well.
cheers
