After plugging 6,433 words into the sci-fi story I intended to write this month, I was hit with the news of two close friends' divorce. Though it didn't effect my story at all, it inspired me to try something else entirely. So I'm devoting my efforts into 50,000 words of a bloggish/memoirish/love letter to my wife.
This one's going much easier. Write what you know, indeed. 7,350 over two days, and counting. 'Sides, I can get back to Outposted another time. After November.
Reminds me of the big band song, "I Could Write a Book." Oh yeah? So do it. I am.
As an added bonus if I can pull this off, guess who just saved money on his Christmas shopping?
