Mine is. Mostly around Kensington, Downtown, and up in the North-West.
I'm also including a few Calgary specific events in my story. Like, remember that guy who broke into the zoo and got his arm chewed up by the tiger? Yeah, he's going to be in here.
Who else is patriotic enough to use Calgary as a setting?

Mine is taking place in a city based on Calgary. I'm just too lazy to do the research I would need to actually have it take place here.

I have a character FROM Calgary, but the actual story's taking place in Toronto.
Because really, if you're going to have an isolated dystopian metropolis, Calgary's just too... shiny.

Ooh. I'd like to read a book that takes place in Kensington! Not too sure about which city I'll be setting mine in. I either won't mention it or I suppose that it would be good to mention Calgary since I know it so well. But then again, my characters don't say too many nice things about their city...so maybe not...

I started a book earlier this year that starts in Calgary and then the MC crosses over to a world similar to Donaldson's Land...a blatant rip off but then again his Covenant books did start me on my journy into fantasy and it is sort of a tribute...that and I've spent nearly twenty years thinking about this world I created after reading it and finally have a character to go with it. Not sure when I"m going to get to it but someday....

My book starts in Calgary, but soon makes it's way to a fictional town out by Battle Creek and eventually another world entirely. I have made some comparisons on the other planet to the skyscrapers of the downtown core, and it began with a farily standard gloomy office environment, but the city does feature in some flashback sequences as well.. Truth be told I was burning rubber to get to the otherwordly stuff, but I plan on going into a bit more depth as when I make a second pass at the book in December.

Mine started in Calgary and then quickly ran off to the mountains for more scenery descriptions.
