This is my first NaNo, and I was beginning to think I couldn't do it. I'm so behind. I was struggling all week with only a few hundred words here or there. It was awful. I had a lot of false starts that were becoming extremely discouraging.
I was trying too hard to write in order and that isn't working for me. Today, I was determined to just write so I randomly picked a scene completely out of order, and I was able to get 3400 words out of it! That felt great!
My inner editor needs to be taken hostage, mouth duck taped, and tied to a chair somewhere for the rest of November! She can come out and play with my words in December but she is banished until then!

Ok hideously behind but I still want a shoutout because I'm pleased I've hit 5k. It's a lot better than the 3k I had when I woke up this morning. You know you're behind though when you have to go to page four to find the shoutout you need.
