I did it! I did it I wanted to hit 30K before midnight, and at 11:00 I had 1,675 words to go - and I totally knocked them out in an hour! Even better, they're GOOD! *party party party*

Now, if I can have a 10K day tomorrow (what I need to catch up to my goals!) then I'll REALLY be partying!

I hit 30,000 words! FINALLY. I basically took two full days off of writing and finally hit 30,000 last night. Happy to be back into my schedule without the chaos of the weekend. Argh, still have a midterm left though because I got sick on Thursday night. Nasty. Anyway, I dunno. It's good to be over the hump and 28,000 words usually seems to be where I hit a brick wall. It's nice to be peer pressured into not.

I have to admit, when I started this, I was thinking 'oh my gosh, I don't want to fail I don't want to fail I don't want to fail but I'm probably going to' however now I feel like there's no way I'm going to fail and I'm going to succeed considering it's the 9th and I'm at 30,000. So yeah. I'm excited. Hoping that I'll put in another 20,000 word week this week and then get to attempt to get 100,000 for the month, but we shall see. So far I feel literarily empowered, which I think is the point of nano, so that is very exciting.

I hit 30K. I actually crossed the 20, 25, and 30K marks last night. Whew. Marathon writing. I think, given my past experience, that it's all down hill from here. I think the first 30,000 words are the hardest (the first 10K being the worst). Congrats, all! Keep writing!

Wow, it feels really good to be here so early in the month. I'm really feeling like I can go past the 50K mark this year and still have story left to tell. Awesome. Keep up the good work, everybody!

I hit 50,000 tonight. Pretty excited. it was pretty much at the stroke of midnight, but day 10, 50,000 with two days of no writing is pretty sweet. The last 4,000 i just kind of went for it and now I know how all of those nano procrasinators feel. My characters ended in a 'no you hang up first' but go figure. That happens in real life. it still counts. Oh and the amazing oral essay about Barack Obama and just whatever else popped into the author *ahem main character*'s head. Haha. Go figure. Go NANO!

Nice! I'm just barely hitting daily targets which leaves little room for error and every day I tell myself I'm going to write ahead. Congrats to you for doing it!

Yay! 30K! Now I can go cook that darn chicken.

I thought the hubby was going to give me a break with all this writing. Nope. Not going to happen.
Keep on going everyone...

Happy NaNo-ing!

30,000! Not my favoritest of all favorite milestones, but whatever. Personally, I like breaking the 5-digit wall, then the halfway mark best. 45k is pretty awesome, too....

But 30k and not NEARLY even a quarter into my story. >_< Good luck to us all! We're whooping the pants off everyone else, too, which is awesome.

I'm here! I'm here! So much story left to tell, I'm not sure my personal goal of 75K is going to be enough. Half-way point, here I come!

Woohoo *victory dance* This is again a fantastic place to be at. The main plot of my story is actually forming quite well at the moment, and my character is having a fun time. Looking forward to finishing early, and maybe I'll go out for a total sprint and finish the entire book before november is over, so I don't feel like I have to devote any extra time to actually finish the story, with climax and resolution.

This feels amazing. I made it more than halfway! AND I had a hard time this week, but with support from the forums and plugging away not only did I write more words - some of them may actually survive editing in December! Some of them are good! I am so excited!!!! And exhausted. Going to bed and then tomorrow to my first write in! I am relishing the first time of all of this. Because it won't be the last! whoo hooo!

Hey, me too! I hit 30k the other day. Sadly my goal this year isn't 50k, but 70k... almost halfway. Anyone else over-achieving their nano this year?

Lest we be called slackers...we are, naturelly, over-achievers. The world trembles at the sound of our keyboards. They fear out, collective, word count, as they should. We be the ducks....

Just hit 30k, YAY!

Off to write more! Hoping to get in another 3k or so today. Whether or not that actually happens is a different story.

Just passed the 30,000 mark myself. I was hoping to do it at this at the halfway write-in today, but unfortunately I lost track of time this morning and didn't realize that I'd missed it until 4:00. :-\

Oh well. On towards 50k!

Just now hit it! I'm keeping up which is a huge plus with the way work has been. I've been pushing myself and hopefully i can either again get ahead or stay caught up. Though I think writing at work is going to be slow coming. I'll have to force myself to write at home.

WHEEEEE!

30,221, and I'm calling it a night. The Republic of Newfoundland has its first female airship pilot, the first ambassador from the United Kingdom arrived in St. John's and things are starting to make some sense.

Oh, and today set a new high as far as daily word count at 2,753.

Eight days for the first 10k (due to doing lots of research to get turn-of-the-century Newfoundland close to right), five to get from 10k to 20k, 4 to get from 20k to 30k.

I'vve managed to get really comfortable at the 2k a day clip, even on days when I'm just fighting it. Fortunately, I've got enough slogging through narrative done that I can relax a little and write some dialogue. Since my characters have had their own voices since inside the first thousand words, getting to turn them lose and letting them be themselves is nice.

I can't believe I just hit 30k. I think I've eclipsed my total and still feel like there's so much that has yet to be written. Best of luck to the next milestone guys!

30,025! Woo Hoo!

Man, though, the last five thousand words have been HARD. I sure hope I turn some sort of mental corner or something soon, because this is gonna kill me if it doesn't get easier soon.

Woo Hoo! I actually hit 30,000 words by the end of the write-in Sunday at the Hugo House. Thanks again Iheannon and Mandrina for organizing it - you rock!

I passed 35,000 words last night, and finished up today's writing at just over 38,000. My hope is to be at 40,000 by end of the day tomorrow.

This is my first year participating in NaNoWriMo, and my first time working on a project of this scale. It's interesting how my writing proceeds. For several days, it feels like I'm marching uphill against the wind, then suddenly I'm flying and it's all I can do to type fast enough to keep up. I'm having a blast!

I'm at 32,800. The bad guys are really closing in on my hero, but he doesn't know it yet. It's really interesting, writing without having any sort of plot or plan. A few characters just sort of showed up and started doing and saying things, and I'm in awe. What will they do next? I feel like I'm in the Truman show, wearing a button that says "How will it end?"
