So I've been writing along in the groove when I came to a gigantic brick wall. I made up these creatures but for the life of me I cannot think of what to call them! My description is not as well as I would have liked, but I was typing fast at the time to just get all my ideas out at once. So if you have any suggestions I would love to hear them!
It was an ancient being that even the human historians had long since forgotten. It emerged into the moonlit clearing around the pond, its great head bobbing with each step. It could have been mistaken for a large elk if not for its delicate build and icy white coat. Great horns sat atop a gently sculpted head in curved points to either side. Great, gentle eyes peered at Hydrangea when they stood facing each other. The creature huffed softly and walked steadily closer placing small, delicate cleft hooves in the grass with near silence until it came to a stop beside her.

----------I know I know it's wikipedia but you could find names for your animals by looking up old names used for them in the past, like the lesser known names stated in the "Naming and etymology" section. Hope that helps :)
