Also known as our local procrastination station!

I've been distracted this weekend with:
-Cleaning.
-Fight training
-Test prep
-Cleaning up the wallpaper for my netbook
-Trying to sell things at game stores.
-Shopping for a pot to melt molding plastic in.

Let's here some "good" excuses for letting that writing drop off!

I'm at school 8-14 hours a day and when I get home I just want to sleep!

Also, its my birthday this weekend and people keep giving me books that I want to read...isn't that suppose to help with writing?

Tomorrow, I am running a zone house for the New West-Coquitlam byelection! A great excuse to take a day off or, even better, pack away an extra 2,000 words tonight.

What kind of training? Did you head to the Revolution tournament in Langley? We had a few customers at work on Saturday who had to grab last minute stuff for there.
Post-secondary test prep?

My reasons:
-Browsing the forums
-Work on Saturday
-Birthday party afterward
(And barring those two, I probably would have been at the tournament, or another one that apparently demanded my attention)
-Sunday Social that I was late for due to SkyTrain issues and sleeping in (but still being short on sleep)

I don't know why I am not writing. I SHOULD be writing... I am just... not. Am I hitting the second week slump already?

my super dull reasons...

-my brain hurts
-I'm exhausted.
-I have 2 quizzes to write tomorrow morning (on chapters I missed due to illness)
-I have a novel to read for my lit class on Tuesday evening (started, but started it over a year ago, so call it not started at all...)

If you are, you've got company.

I've been distracting myself with my fish.
Getting a haircut.
Cleaning the windows in my car (which I haven't done since I got the thing. @_@ )
Yardwork
Being "tired" and "hating" everything I've written so far.

Hmmm . . . let's see . . .

Today it's been due to the following:

  • had to go troubleshoot the computer of a family friend (84 years old) whose email 'broke'
  • luckily when I arrived the problem had fixed itself; unluckily, her Windows 7 upgrade disk had arrived just the evening before

But generally I'm not writing because of things like this:

  • doing P90X workouts (because when Calvynne/Jeff said that he couldn't get any of the other girls he knew to do the program because it was 'too hard' I knew I had to prove that girls are tough)
  • work
  • my husband instruction manual has some pretty strict guidelines on the care of husbands that I take pretty seriously
  • oh, and let's not forget my November 1st impulse to wash my kitchen floor (and my sushi+walking=fail has created a sticky spot in my hall that may need intervention before too long as well)

I'm sick.
It's raining and dark out and I don't find that 'creatively stimulating'. Or fun to look at or be out in, for that matter.
I keep getting dis - ooh, shiny!

It's bedtime
I should be in bed already....

My brain is "pooped."

I've already met my personal quota for the day...and I'm not a greedy person?? Haha.

There's always tomorrow (or at least there is until the the end of the month).

I totally forgot to add a few of the other reasons I'm not writing . . .

  • I'm contemplating painting my nails. Not actually doing it yet. But it's a process that requires careful consideration.
  • I discovered this show called Castle recently. I figured it might inspire me since it's about a writer.

My iPod (which I use as a flashdrive) decided to finally admit how much it hates me, and the file that was my NaNoWriMo deleted itself. I didn't have it backed up, and I can't bring myself to go back to it now.

Oh no! So sorry that you lost the file . . . are there any iPod expert people out there who can see if there might be any way to recover it?

Sadly, it was my own fault. I was in a rush to get to class, and my iPod was telling me "DO NOT DISCONNECT" But I did. I regret that. But it is a good reminder to everyone. BACK UP YOUR NANOWRIMOS!!! You never know what will happen to all that work.

Tore up both hands on bag work and I think I sprained a joint in my index, calls for a drink and some sleep instead of pounding keys and wincing.

You should wrap your hands, or at least wear bag gloves.

Was wearing bag gloves actually, kind of chain where I think I threw the front knuckle out before I got warmed up, and then once it was an hour of bag work things just deteriorated.

I'm not writing my novel right now because I'm supposed to be doing my work-related writing. which I'm also not doing! (looks around to make sure boss isn't reading over her shoulder.

On Wednesday, when I had the whole day to write, I spent my time watching TV shows that I've already seen several times.
Besides, it's easier to come up with excuses than to do real work!

Now, if you'll excuse me I need to make sure the fish have enough water....
