Am I able to do this myself? Because no one is responding to it, and I'm getting really annoyed.

And if I can't delete the topic myself, can I get a mod to do it for me?

Sorry if the answer is in a FAQ or sticky someplace - I couldn't find it. And thanks.

You can hit 'report', if you like, and request it there.

Or you can link to it here and a mod can then delete it for you :)

You can't report your own posts, so if you nanomail me the link to the thread, I'll take care of it for you.

Ok, then, why don't I just provide a link right now, since I'm already here...

Hope that's what I was supposed to do. Many thanks :-)

It's been less than an hour.

Right, but traffic moves really fast on the Plot Doctoring board, so topics can get buried before you know it. Besides, I think it was a dumb question anyway, and I probably should just tackle the issue myself.

For the sake of reference, how much time needs to elapse before mods will delete a topic? Just curious

Generally, 10 months is the interval to wipe posts.

As a policy, we don't just delete posts.

But I'm not the forum mod, so maybe they will make an exception for you.

If we determine that a post needs to be removed, it can take anywhere from a few minutes to up to 24 hours. However, we generally don't delete posts without reason. Something not getting responses really isn't a reason for removal. The only time we actually delete posts is when it's an accidental duplicate.

I suggest reposting in one of the genre lounges. They're generally less busy, and better for targeted responses.

Oh well, maybe it'll just get buried and forgotten... hopefully. Thanks, everyone, for your help.
