Chaotic Normality
an excerpt
Keiran was more than frustrated. He hated when human tried to make a death look like it was the fault of lycanthrope. Seriously, most lycathropes - unless they were rabid - were MUCH neater killers that it seemed humans wanted to give them credit for. He eyed the dead family in front of him with distaste.
And if the new coroner's assistant asked him one more time if the sight of all of this blood was making him hungry he was going to beat the shit out of the kid with a stick...a big pointy stick with sharp things pointing out of it. With that thought swirling in his head his lips twitched with his first almost smile of the day.
Maybe he would do it anyway...just for the hell of it.

And Snippet Number Two...
Josalyn Palmer was more than used to the more brooding vampire. Not that she didn’t’ understand why he was the way he was. He had been in some form of enforcement role for over 300 years. ANYONE would be grumpy after over 300 years of red tape and morons. The red head stood and rolled her shoulders to relieve some of the tension.
“Hey Keiran….c’mere. I want you to take a look at this so called puncture wound.” Josalyn waited until his gaze was resting on her before giving him an impatient hand gesture, “Get your overly emo ass over here….NOW. I think you need to see this….”
