REPORT: Imperial Soldiers attacked Zatami at approximately half-past five in the evening on Friday, November 28, 633. We were prepared for this attack, and the invading force was only seventy-seven in number: seventy-five Imperial gunners let by a single Wind Legion pair.
All of the gunners were killed, and the Legionnaire was taken alive. We await further instructions in this area.
The palisade was damaged by gunfire and suffered a large hole being blown in it, through which the Imperial soldiers invaded. The buildings suffered minimal damage, but a number of windows were shot out of the House. The necessary repairs, we estimate, can be made in no more than three days.
The battle was over in only a half hour, at which time the remaining Imperial soldiers scattered into the woods and were cleaned up by our Dragonriders. From the battle, we gained the asset of forty-three Kharian 633 Mark II rifles, the remaining number having been broken beyond repair in the fight. We also retrieved sixty-seven serviceable sabers and miscellaneous pieces of armor.
Our speedy victory is largely attributed to a Dragonrider, Amy Canfyre, rider of Goldenclaw, age fourteen, who was discovered to be a berserker as she went into her first true rage at approximately five minutes to six. In under a minute, she killed twenty-seven Imperial soldiers. Immediately following the rage, she collapsed onto broken glass and lost consciousness. She suffered moderate flesh wounds, but will recover fully, with no ill effects.
To our great sorrow, Captain Karlekk Mesea was mortally wounded during Canfyre’s rage and died at about twenty minutes after six. We, as the leaders of your interests in Zatami, affirm that this was a tragic accident and that Canfyre bears no responsibility for his death.
Casualties on our side amount to thirty-seven military dead, two civilian dead, one hundred sixty-eight military wounded, and four civilian wounded.
