Brief Author Bio: I started writing at eight years old, which was about the time I realized that people wrote books for a living, and that I could do that too if I were so inclined. I wrote a whole lot of earnest stories that were bad, and now I'm still writing stories that are earnestly bad. Most of my desire to keep writing stems from reading books and thinking "Wow, I can do that, but better." I know that sounds incredibly narcissistic, but after all, writing is the most narcissistic profession on earth. To paraphrase someone famous I can't remember, writers earn a living by believing that a lot of strangers in far away places will, for whatever reason, care about what they have to say concerning the human condition. If that's not narcissistic then, well. I signed up for NaNoWriMo because I have prolonged writers block and nothing I do makes it go away. So I figure that forcing myself to write 50,000 words will clear that right up. Misguided? Probably. Foolproof? To paraphrase Mark Wahlberg, "This shithole has more leaks than the Iraqi navy." Meaning: I have no idea how I got myself into this. XD Disclaimer. I'm really actually a friendly cheerful person. >.> <.< Really. Feel free to friend me. :) |
