"Marie's boss, whose name I later discovered was Jackson, was using the desk as a blockade from our eye-contact bullets. his receding hairline would bob up from behind the desk, followed by a furrowed, sloping forehead and eyebrows which, in his current state of distress, looked like furry accordions with all the air squeezed out. After his eyebrows crested, two wide, brown eyes were revealed which quickly scanned the room, observed us still standing there, and then disappeared with the rest of his head behind the desk."
