Synopsis: The Girl Who Talked to Horses

Natalyia is a twenty-one year old harness racing trainer whose horse is poised to win this year's Hambletonian. As he crosses the finish line, an enormous thunderclap hits the previously-blue sky, spooking him and causing him to buck and land uncomfortably on his ankle, shattering it. When Natalyia rushes to the track to comfort him in his lasts moments, she learns she can now communicate with horses, and he speaks to her.

A few months later, trying to find herself again after the loss of her best friend, Natalyia finds a portal in the woods behind her house which leads to the alternate world of Rochestria, where horses have been banned and the trees are bleeding and dying, under a corrupt king who is being controlled by the Evil Ones. Recruited by a girl named Carrie Ann who has a premonition that Natalyia is the chosen one who will save their land, she journeys to the castle to try to reason with the king and save the land, and later, she learns, her own home, which becomes threatened by the Evil Ones' ability to travel through the portal.
