Synopsis: Left My Heart
Willie May is a young woman living in San Francisco with her large family at the height of the Great Depression. She decides in order to support her starving family, to dress as a man and begin working on the construction of the greatest project the city of San Francisco has ever seen, the bridging of the Golden Gate. She works diligently. The hardest worker on the project. But she is discovered and loses her position. After her dismissal, work on the bridge begins to go awry and her fellow workers band together to get her, her job back. Together they learn the valuable lesson that gender doesn't dictate ability, in a time where women are the inferior sex.
