Turning around the corner of the main school building and heading right, I came upon a most curious sight. Before me, perhaps three meters from my there stood a girl wearing the school’s uniform on a slightly raised piece of earth. She overlooked the sports grounds where soccer, baseball, and other outdoor games were held, and perhaps the strangest part about it, both of her hands were outstretched to her sides and pointed towards the ground, and palms facing outward towards the sky. She was in about a half profile from my perspective, so I could see at least that her left eye was closed, so I assumed the other one was too. She had a very pleasant expression on her face as the wind danced around her and fluttered the bottom of her skirt a bit. There weren’t any sakura trees among us, but if there had been, she would have been positively covered in pink petals, I’m sure of it.

This girl had long red hear that was caught in the wind, and with the wind blowing it from her head, I could see a small ear poking beneath the sea of fire that were her locks. She had a small blue trinket in her hair that contrasted with the otherwise brilliant shade of red, but at the same time, it was not unpleasant, just perhaps strange that it would be blue on not one of the warmer colors like red, or orange. I could not decide if it looked what the trinket was from where I was standing, and what with the wind blowing around it, the hair ornament did not heavily concern me at the moment. Perhaps the thing that concerned me the most was that upon turning a corner a moment before, where I had previously only seen one or two other people on the other end of the grounds, I should chance upon another person who almost appeared to be caught up in some bizarre ritual in order to attain eternal happiness, or something similar. I walked a little closer to her, within one meter, and was about to ask her what she was doing.
