Synopsis: TITANIS

When the dinosaurs died out, there was a gap left to be filled by new carnivores. In South America, huge upright birds replaced reptiles as the major predators. As the land bridge began to form between North America and South America, the birds spread north but met competition with saber-toothed cats and other large predators, and they eventually became extinct. Controversy exists as to whether man ever met eyes with any of these birds. So whaddya think happens in my contemporary story ...
