Synopsis: The Shadow Play
When Blassow Urgaht becomes a Bride of Fury, one of the bearers of a Named Weapon, it takes him to the ancient darkling city of Mahu Teku. But Mahu Teku is a place at war with itself, a place where even shadows can kill, and when Blassow angers the city's Ancestral Champion he's forced to flee. He discovers, however, that the bonds of love and hate are not so easily cast off--his friend and mentor is murdered in front of his eyes, sending Blassow back to Mahu Teku for revenge. It's a path that pits him against the decadent lords of Underearth and finally against the vampire rulers of the Weeping City. There he's forced to choose between the darkling woman he loves, the survival of Mahu Teku itself, and his own unholy weapon: Aninde Sekri, the Maw Of Strife.
