"Well, maybe not like that," said Steven. "I dunno. You probably shouldn't have gone with the helmet."

"Hello!" she said. "Secret identity? If Taylor finds out that I'm a superhero, it's going to look like I copied her charity idea that her dad is funding, and, like, tried to one-up her and next thing you know it I'll be, like, signed up to save, like, three continents because it's my civic duty, and I won't get to finish high school and I won't get into college and I won't go to grad school and I won't get a doctorate and I'll die in a cardboard box!" As she spoke, her voice became shriller and more terrified, until she threw up her hands at the end in frustration.
