Dying History
an excerpt
"Are you serious? You can't do this. I'll-I'll call the cops and tell them you're neglecting me. They'll take me away and you'll never see me again."
"The only things we have to give you are food, shelter and clothing. There's food in the kitchen, you obviously have a roof over your head and clothes in your dresser and closet although I did return some of them. Oh and I canceled your credit cards so you can't go buy them back. There's no reason a girl should spend $1200 on a shirt and a pair of jeans. We also had your car re-keyed. You won't be driving it for a while either. So, unpack and get to bed. You got school tomorrow," her mom said.
Megyn stood there in shock. "How could they just spring this on me and on the night before school starts. They cut off all my life lines. How am I suppose to survive?" she thought.
The room seemed so bare. She might as well be living in the Little House on the Prairie. At least Caroline and Charles would have been a hell of a lot nicer than her parents. She did the only thing left do: sleep. She tossed her bags on the floor, tumbling out of one was the button.
