Brief Author Bio: Midge is a senior in college in Maine, an RA at said college, and on and off editing the book that she plans to start submitting sometime this year, as it would be nice to leave college with an agent. It isn't one of her NaNo novels, as she uses NaNo for pure fun. Someday she'll go all the way crazy, but she hasn't got there quite yet. |

Synopsis: The Dreams of Lady Miette
Lady Miette has nightmares. Nightmares of her brother's death a year ago, which forced her out of the convent where she'd been studying to be a priestess and into the Queen's Court, suddenly a baron's heir and an important piece in the games of social chess the aristocrats of Vamea play.
Nightmares brought on by playacting being someone she isn't to be popular, because her family is in a delicate position and a good marriage is vital. Nightmares about the false friends she's made since she's come to Court. Nightmares about being forced to playact forever, instead of getting to be who she truly is.
But more than any of that, nightmares about revealing her true self, because Miette wields magic, and the last baron before her father died for exactly that reason. But with Sir Tristan, an unpopular knight she admires, trying to find out her secrets, it's only a matter of time before her carefully constructed charade ends.
