When people see Samantha, they are immediately drawn to her unnatural beauty. There is something about her porcelain doll-look, the piercing grey eyes that seem to hold a forever grey sky, forever within the calm before the storm.

One may go on endlessly describing her physical appearance – the long, wavy ebony black hair which reached her waist, and always smelled of honeysuckle to Charles whenever he whispered in her ear. Her slender, willowy figure, her pale skin and melodic voice. But it is her eyes which deserve the most attention, for they are her most mysterious feature, and in the course of this bizarre tale one will wonder how and when it all started, when her pretty glass eyes betrayed her.
