Synopsis: The One About the Whores

A young Moroccan man constrained by his wealthy socially-climbing family is charged with the task of returning a ransomed christian pirate-captive to England. During the eventful voyage, the ship is lured to its demise off the island of Ilfracombe in Devon. Destitute, he has only a woman's dress and his wits to outrun the wreckers, who want to get rid of every witness to their crimes. This eventually brings him to London, where he is forced into prostitution to survive. A client brings him to an opium den on the docks where he meets a disowned albino noble in trouble with the Chinese mob. Together they help one another and take to the streets at night while the whores they work alongside fall prey to the ripper's gristly attacks. Amidst the chaos and squalor, they realise that their friendship is all that protects them from the poverty and death that surrounds them.
