About Harriet T Cauldron

Location: Depths of my Infinite Imagination...fine...Michigan.

Age:14

Website: http://red.blogs.aol.com/jujumarie1234/_dramatic_dictations/

Favorite novels: Inspirtational books: It's Kind of a Funny Story (Ned Vizini), Just Listen and The Truth About Forever (Sarah Desen) Faultline (Janet Tashjian), Drums, Girls and Dangerous Pie (Jordan Sonneblick), The Nature of Jade and Wild Roses (Deb Caletti). Also love the Harry Potter series (J.K. Rowling), the Young Wizards series (Diane Duane), the Max Ride series (James Patterson), and the Twilight series (Stephenie Meyers).

Favorite writers: J.K. Rowling, Cornelia Funke, Diane Duane, Ned Vizini, Stephenie Meyers, and James Patterson (at the moment)

Favorite music: MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE!!! Best. Band. Ever. Also like other types of rock. Little bits of mainstream. Little bit of metal. Mostly alternative and punk. Killers, Arctic Monkeys, Papa Roach, Matchbox20, 3 Doors Down, Evanescence, Flyleaf, Muse, The Used, Rise Against, Rides Again, and The Number Twelve Looks Like You amongst others. No rap, hip-hop, "modern R&B", pop, or country for me! A few good musicals can really get me goin' too (Sound of Music, West Side Story, Singin' In the Rain, South Pacific, Wizard of Oz, Oklahoma, My Fair Lady, Grease, and Hairspray). Can't get enough of that music! Ha, what a mix :)

Non-noveling interests: Um, LOL, fan fiction (does that count?- check me out under the same penname on Harrypotterfanfiction.com), theater, and listening to music! Oh, and looking up random crap. Did you know that banging your head against a wall for an hour burns 150 calories?

A Blind World
an excerpt

“What? You might lose friends who aren’t worth having. You may not have friends and power handed to you on a silver platter. You won’t feel as perfect. I don’t know about you, but I think you could give all of that up –and only to a certain extent- to make things better. You were obviously moved by what you saw. Which by itself is better than your friends. You aren’t like them. You can be better than they are. And if you ask me, that’s a lot better than fooling yourself into thinking you’re perfect.”

Marcia looked at her feet, clad with very stylish shoes, sheepishly, “I know what they did to you was wrong, and yes, it took a tragic turn for the worst, but really, there isn’t much we can do. Nothing that will get us a good grade on that project anyway.”

Bobby narrowed his eyes at her, “You, Marcia Reed, may be one of the most selfish people in the whole world! The one time you’re really given an opportunity to make things better, you pass it up!”
