The blue Crystal
an excerpt
It was about six o’ clock when Luthando tugged at her. She awoke and realised that she was just inches away from him. She suddenly noticed how blue his eyes were and how his chestnut hair fell over his forehead.
“So how did you sleep? I don’t know what you’re used to, but this has to be better than the forest floor-“Ellima gazed at him.
“Did you mean what you said last night?”
“That you’re good company?”
“Yeah, why did you say it?”
“Isn’t it obvious? I like you.”
“Maybe I like you too…”
Luthando grinned.
He leaned towards her, slowly.
Ellima’s heart pounded in her chest. They looked into each other’s eyes. He was so close to her, mere millimetres. He kissed her gently on the lips, and then sat back. Both of them smiled bashfully and Ellima blushed terribly.
BOOM!
They broke apart as the cabin shook around them.
Luthando got to his feet and helped Ellima up as the thuds continued.
“It sounds like trolls. I’d better answer.”
