Favorite music: silence is always nice, I have kids so you can guess how ofter that happens...but seriously folks, classical or world/new age music

Non-noveling interests: crap, reading IS my major hobby.....I also sing, act in community theater, play piano, volunteer, cook, write poetry of the non-epic variety (last time I checked, my name wasn't Homer), play with my kids, and talk to my friends
