Chronicler of Yadout 3: To Save a Nation
an excerpt

Nikki is kind enough to walk with me to the large tower like building and told the man at the gate that I was a guest of Hamilton’s. Inside there are many paintings on the wall, something that Yadout doesn’t have the resources for, and beautifully adorned doors. Come to think of it, everyone I saw on the way here was dressed in a way royalty would be. A very wealthy place for one with no visible ground, I’d like to know what it is that these people sell to the neighboring countries that makes them so well off.

It wasn’t until I smelled the perfume that this place reeked of that I noticed how horribly I must smell. Probably look about as bad as I smell to boot!

“Where to?” I ask Nikki.

“We’ll have to wait until he can see us. All these people have been waiting for a long time hoping for just a spare moment with the Theocrat.” She tells me.

The nurse looks around. The room is filled with straight backed people with a holier than thou air about them, they look at me as though I should be honored to have their attention even if only for a moment. I sit down next to a very beautiful lady who looks to be the same age as Amber and smile with whatever gusto I can muster. The girl recoils then stands up, stomps her foot and storms out.

I lean over to Nikki. “One down.” I tell her.
